Mid-Maine Oral Surgery

"Nothing but good things to say about Mid-Maine Oral. Monday I went into my dentist after having lots of pain on my wisdom teeth, I had an infected tooth & they referred me out to Mid Maine Oral, they said it would probably be around a month before I got into the surgeon but I received a call on Tuesday from Mid Maine to schedule an apt and they got me in on Wednesday. I had 5 teeth extracted and the staff and doctor made me feel very comfortable and calmed my anxiety about being put out for the procedure. Everything went smoothly and they explain everything to you in detail which really helps peace of mind. I highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back if I ever need more work in the future."

"Came to get a few extractions in August, when I put in the application for an appointment I know I had submitted all my information correctly because I received a phone call and an email. All I had gotten was that initial phone call and email to set up my appointment, then nothing. Day of my appointment I arrived 10-15 minutes early, go to the front desk and they said they had canceled my appointment due to not responding to them, what? I had told the front desk ladies that I didn't receive any calls, texts, or emails and one of them snapped at me and was quite rude. She said all of them had tried calling, texting and emailing me which I doubt all of those contact methods would just fail. I quickly checked my email and filtered through them, checked my phone logs and texts, nothing. She checked with the surgeon to see if he was available to still do the procedure, thankfully he was, she then started to ask me the normal questions with a bit of an attitude and seemed annoyed at the situation. I understand it can be frustrating but it's not a good way to do business by treating patients like that. Fast forward to November I get a call from the office, which I do miss because I was working, I called back as soon as I could around an hour later. When I called back, I got the same lady who left me the voicemail so I figured it would be a quick process, I had to slowly spell out my name 5 times for her then she said she still couldn't find me and would look it up then call me back.. She calls about 5 minutes later saying she still couldn't find me and would try a different way, I had to spell out my name slowly another 3 times, thankfully I have plenty of patience. There was an error in the bill and I still owed more on top of the already expensive bill despite paying the full balance told on the day of the procedure. I understand the intricacies of insurance and it's hard to get an exact quote but it was a little frustrating given the circumstances of the call and thinking about the way I was treated overall. To wrap it up, the customer service wasn't that great which made me concerned about everything else when I arrived. Thankfully Dr. Traub and the nurse who had done the procedure were very kind and professional and I had no complications after the surgery. I'm sure others have had great experiences here but I personally wouldn't return, I wish them the best."

"Staff and dentist are all very pleasant and accommodating. My only issue is having bones come up. Had surgery on Tuesday, 9/19, but after two weeks of still having pain went back to discover I had a bone come up. Dentist removed it and said I might have another one come out. Sure enough I feel around the stitched area today and feel another coming out. Very disappointed in having this issue and the awful pain. Not sure why everything couldn't have been removed while I was knocked out. No one should have to go through three weeks of pain after an extraction. I understand giving the gum time to heal, but feel this could have been avoided."

"Referred to Dr. Sarka for extraction on a Tuesday, and appointment set up for Friday. Dr. Sarka & his staff were very friendly, accommodating, and professional. Dr. Sarka makes one feel very comfortable and is very reassuring that the procedure will be done with the utmost care. I highly recommend Dr. Sarka for anyone that needs his services."

"Everyone took great care of my 6 year old, who was very nervous and helped put him (and myself) at ease. They got him in for an appointment quickly, when another oral surgeon was booking months out. They allowed him to have the earliest appointment, since he had to fast and he was not going to make it without eating very long otherwise.
