"This was my first time visiting here and it was a delight. On a lovely Mothers' Day, Reid State Park was very busy but we had this lovely preserve to ourselves. The trails are well marked, with a nice variety of habitat and view points. You can enjoy the mixed forest cover with plenty of birds on offer, quiet ocean coves, a lovely babbling stream with waterfall, peace and quiet. What more do you need?"

"Not too hard to get to, but be prepared for mud on the so-called 'road' to the parking lot. When you get there, however, the hikes are just the right length for an hour in the woods. Lots of elevation changes and great vistas."
