About the Business
The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts (RMFA) is a community art initiative located at 150 Wakefield Street in Rochester, New Hampshire. This all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) institution is dedicated to showcasing contemporary works by artists from around the world. Established in 2011, the RMFA aims to enrich lives through the presentation of fine art.
The museum's permanent collection features over 200 multidisciplinary works, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, and film. Rotating exhibitions in the Mayor Harvey E. Bernier Room and Andrew Carnegie Gallery highlight the work of emerging and established artists. The Pixel Room showcases digital works on a 4K UHD LED display.
Past exhibits have featured renowned artists such as Susan Kare, Eric Carle, Marija Velykytė, Wayne White, Robert Indiana, and Bob Gruen. The museum is housed in the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center and Rochester Public Library, offering a unique cultural experience for visitors.
