Reviews of Allen Whitney Memorial Forest
"Amazing scenery! Extensive biking and hiking trails of varying distances and difficulties. You can tailor your trip to your mood with the maps posted on the trails. You can enjoy a steep hard long hike, or a short easy one. I would highly recommend this place!"
"trails were beautiful we didn't get to see the pond due to my son running up ahead and getting us lost for a little while but we did see a cool fire place kinda spooky deff made the trip better lol all in all if ur good with trails it's an awesome place to go :) me personally I'm all set getting lost once was enough for me haha but the people in the near by houses were so great and helpful at getting us back on track :)"
"Very well kept trails, dog friendly and easy parking. The only downside that can't be helped if the pond is LOADED with leaches. My dogs swam in it just fine."
"Nice combination of singletrack biking/walking trails and less improved snowmobile trails. It looks like work is being done actively to expand and improve the trail system. Great view of a pond rewards the visitor. The trails on the south side are well marked with maps at most intersections. Easy to navigate. North side trails are more primative and wet. Bring your bug dope!"
"A beautiful piece of land with maintained trails. A couple of different parking areas mark the trail heads. There are plenty of "you are here" signs on the trails along with maps to help you navigate over 700 acres. Trails available for biking, snow shoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. Something for everyone! I also suggest taking a walk down to the pond and looking for wildlife."
