"My family has been going to Wing for decades. My father passed away there after a massive hemorrhagic stroke and received compassionate care. My mom was hospitalized there from 1/17 to 1/21/24 before being transferred to the Springfield campus. The care she received from Laurie, Pam, and Angela was above and beyond. That said, the hospitalist, Dr. Das, on Saturday morning, lacked compassion for me as a loved one. She was beginning to show signs of kidney damage from the tests run earlier in her stay. He started out by saying to me, "This is the beginning of the end." In my honest opinion, there are many kinder, more sensitive ways to begin a conversation of that sort, and quite honestly, at that moment, she was not yet critical. They had actually moved her from the highest level of care, down to Acute care the night before. I question much of what was done or not done for her in those hours and whether things would have turned out differently had IV been administered sooner to flush out the dyes damaging her kidneys. In the end, the nursing and PCT staff were wonderful, but the doctors lacked empathy and my confidence in some of their decisions is shaky."

"Husband went for X-ray and he was in and out in less then a half hour. The staff here are very pleasant and have taken care of him before and saved his life. They are the best place as far as I'm concerned. Don't have anything nice to say about Bay State in Springfield but this hospital in Palmer is great. Thank you for being attentive and supportive"

"Went in today with a severely dislocated elbow and the entire visit was amazing. I'd like to thank Dr silsz and everyone that helped me today. Everyone was super pleasant and helpful. The women who was there for her first day did an amazing job! Thank you wing staff"

"I had a painful hernia and Dr David Katz did the surgery and really took care of this issue. I highly recommend him if you need the type of surgery he does.. excellent physician, explained everything well to me . Also, his assistant Debbie was terrific, very helpful in setting up everything and very efficient and a very warm person.. patient with me. Thank you Dr Katz and Debbie"

"I will say I got in pretty quickly, but straight to a bed in a crowded hallway. I could see 7 lined up. But hey atleast they have numbers above them so they know who you are. I had to ask random employees walking by for assistance. Nurse was nowhere to be found. Brought me meds and didn’t tell me what they were. I had to ask. She was a traveling nurse who didn’t care. Poked me 3 times for an IV and when I said it was hurting she said no its good I told her no. She yanked it out and the bandage soaked with blood and saline gushed all down my arm. Took 45 minutes to get someone to take my IV out. The PA was nice and The nurse who did my EKG was the only one who cared. I will never go here again!! Absolutely appalling!! I left no better than when I went in. There is not enough staff or rooms to provide proper care"
