"We love Orthpaedics Plus! We travel an hour to get there because of the amazing staff. We work with Kim who is the most conscientious, kind, knowledgeable and attentive PT we have ever worked with. My husband had a stroke almost four years ago. We were living in SC and not seeing a lot of progress with his partially paralyzed foot and leg. Kim has done wonders. Not only did she help relieve his pain, she motivated him to do more exercise and get the blood flowing to his foot. The other staff is just as kind and professional too!"
"Two yrs ago, I was recommended to Orthopeaedic Plus after a hip replacement. It was a great experienced, kind and caring people. When I had knee replacement a couple months ago, I called them again for PT. Both times was a positive experience, great crew,"
"Orthopaedics Plus Physical Therapy is an amazing place to seek physical therapies of all kinds and it will spoil you for getting therapy from anywhere else! From the moment you make contact with their office staff, both by phone and in person you will feel like you have entered a very special place. Estee and Heather are the office administrators and they very capably take the time and attention to address your needs. They take the time to make you feel welcomed and comfortable as a new patient and their kindness and positive attitudes are real…it’s so refreshing to deal with a front office where there is genuine caring and friendly communication right from the start. Orthopaedics Plus has found the “secret sauce” that I wish more offices would emulate. My husband and I came to see one of the Ortho Plus therapists, Ellen Poveromo, who came highly recommended to us by several good friends. She is a human dynamo who has an amazing set of skills that have made such a difference in our treatment. She was incredibly intuitive in diagnosing our conditions. And her treatment always includes providing the proper exercises to use with her specific therapy plan. She puts a strong focus on educating her patients in how to move safely without pain and takes time to explain how one thing can affect another. Our own medical doctors have sung her praises to us over the years. They have admitted that if there is a note from Ellen in your chart they know it’s valuable information that they would do well to heed. She has gained enormous respect in the medical community for her knowledge , techniques and instincts. While I have only had therapy from Ellen, my husband has seen both Ellen and Alex for his ham string and two shoulder treatments. He often gives them both rave reviews and is so grateful for their expertise and ability to treat his painful conditions and add to his quality of life. It’s obvious that they both have a genuine passion for what they do and they get great joy from working with their patients and reaching their therapy goals. Several other therapists work together in their large modern space at the Cummings Center in Beverly and the environment they create is filled with friendly, uplifting and compassionate energy. You can easily see the positive relationships they develop with their patients and the sense of cameraderie they share. And I must also mention Will, one of the personal trainers, and also the assistant extraordinaire to all of the therapists. He is the kindhearted young man who often comes to the waiting room to greet you warmly and starts you off with your specific exercises prior to your therapy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him without a smile and a kind comment for each patient. He makes sure you are doing your particular exercises properly and with the correct form. He picks up on the slightest nuances in posture and form so that you can get the most improvement, always checking back with you to be sure you are on track. To see him moving through his tasks of greeting, setting up each person’s therapy table, getting them positioned for their exercises, encouraging and making helpful suggestions and being available to assist the therapists… it’s like a graceful economy of movement he performs for each patient and somehow he makes it look easy. I learned from Will that to become a licensed physical therapist in Massachusetts you must first earn a bachelor’s degree in health sciences. Then you must obtain a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree which takes an additional 3-4 years of education. Will is now enrolled in his doctoral program and we know he has what it takes to succeed. Yes it’s a lengthy review, but there’s so much to complement them for at Ortho Plus. When you do your research to find a quality PT facility you won’t find a better place. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!"
"Two months ago, I suffered from a calf injury when playing tennis, and found Orthopaedics plus in a local google search. I noticed the great reviews so I decided to give it a try. I honestly have to say, that it was the best decision I've made, 5-stars across the board from the scheduling staff, to the therapists. The scheduling staff was very friendly, flexible with appointment times and easy to work with. The staff printed out all my appointments and sent text reminders one day prior to each appointment, which was super helpful. After making my first appointment, I was assigned to see Alexis (Lexi) Collins, a Physical Therapist. Lexi was very personable, was able to answer all of my questions and even set me up with an app for me to practice a few exercises at home. At this time, I could barely walk using my left leg, a pain level 8-9 of 10. I had two one-hour sessions per week for about 2 months and each session I improved significantly. Today was my last session, and I am the more flexible now, than I can ever remember being. Lexi provided some final exercises / stretching techniques practice a few days per week, and offered to answer any questions, any time in the future. BIG thank you to Lexi and the entire staff for helping to heal my injury."
"I had a wonderful experience here. I came in, having gone through PT before for some lingering back and hips problems. I worked with Alex who adeptly figured out exactly what I needed to do to feel better. Every time I went in, in enjoyed my experience and everyone there was so friendly. Alex was so concise and educated me on my routines and target areas. I worked with Will and Nick as well and they were fantastic. I feel so much better now after only about 3 months of work, having spent the past 5 years trying to fix it myself. I’d recommend this place highly, especially if you tried PT previously and had an underwhelming experience."
