"I didn't go here but my wife does, they are friendly, on top of their game, very sufficient, thorough, and a very soothing atmosphere."
"Less than one star if I could for the girl in radiology who I had to ask to stop hurting me multiple times. I am 8.5 months pregnant, never been treated so horribly in my life nevermind during an ultrasound. Attitude from the start, could not care less about the physical pain she put me in. Steer clear if you're an expecting Mama."
"I want to be very specific, since this is a group practice and there are a different physicians and different office staff members. My specific note is addressed directly to Dr. Melanie Nathan, who examined me on March 1, 2021, when I thought I had a simple UTI. I have been treated previously by urologists, and the symptoms were very similar During that time period, it was difficult to see doctors personally because of Covid. Dr. Nathan agreed to see me personally to assuage my fears, and make sure I was on the correct antibiotic if it was a simple UTI. I can prove with documentation, several test results, and her referral of me immediately to Dr. Whitfield Board Growdon, a leader in gynecological surgical oncology at Mass General Hospital in Boston that Dr. Melanie Nathan SAVED MY LIFE. Her professionalism, acute diagnostic skills, willingness to perform an endometrial biopsy immediately instead of having me schedule another appointment, her honesty with what she suspected could be wrong, her calm demeanor assuring me that she with her staff would set up a consultation with Dr. Growdon for me, her calling me personally after her office hours to check on me since she empathically knew that thinking you have a UTI to now thinking you might have cancer is an emotional shock to anyone. It was especially devastating to me because my husband had just been diagnosed with inoperable cholangiocarcinoma and I was planning to be HIS caretaker. My rare uterine carcinosarcoma ,(Stage 3 C 1)astutely diagnosed by Dr. Melanie Nathan, who moved very quickly so that Dr. Growdon could perform a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy had already invaded 20mm of my 22mm myometrium . I am now receiving adjuvant chemotherapy and later will receive radiation therapy and brachytherapy. I’m alive because Dr. Melanie Nathan agreed to physically examine me during Covid-19 when my symptoms were very mild and mimicked a common UTI. I’m alive because Dr. Melanie Nathan acted immediately on her professional wisdom and knowledge and didn’t put off being honest with me even though she knew about my husband’s terminal cancer. I can’t speak about any of the other physicians in this practice, but having been a veteran teacher of 47 years, I unequivocally give Dr. Melanie Nathan a 5 star A+ rating. Sincerely, Jane Lawton Ellis"
"First time pregnant and first time going, was given attitude the moment I walked to front desk, had a lady roll her eyes at me at least 5 times. During my ultrasound I was just lying there for 30 minutes, the lady didn’t speak to me or even show me what was going on in the screen. It was the end and all they said to me was “ your doctor will call you about results. “ I was given no information about anything and I wasn’t even able to get pictures of my ultrasound because the “ baby was moving too much “ and was told they couldn’t get good pictures but were able to have pictures to show to the doctor. Never going again, my first pregnancy and they expected me to know everything"
"Worst experiences with this so called medical facility. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and have chronic flare ups which forced me to go on medical leave this past July 18th. Not having a physician and being new to this area I needed a doctor to help me through my medical leave so I could receive disability benefits from my employer. From day 1 I was treated like just another number and when I spoke to the new physician Dr. Koomson. He would not listen and get upset if he had to do paperwork for me, in fact he filled out my disability paperwork so wrong that I got denied and went months without a single paycheck from disability because of him. He told me after screwing up my disability acceptance that he had lost all hope in humanity...not something you would normally hear from a professional doctor. After all was denied and over I had to apply for unemployment and as we all know they are very particular about documentation and proof before they will send you any checks. Well I had to make an appointment once again with this Dr..not wanting to go back after screwing me out of my medical benefits and being unprofessional but I had no choice since he was the one documented during my claims that could fill out the unemployment paperwork stating that I have been able to work from a-z weeks ago. I had my appointment and he complained the entire time as he filled out 1 and a half pages..mostly yes or no check boxes..takes 1 minute. I then go home an check my emails and more paperwork for other weeks are needing filled out for unemployment before they will grant me 6 weeks due of $$$$ so I called to ask them if I could just drop it off with a nurse to give to him to fill out asap because this is time sensitive and they knew that. I trusted they would've had me taken care of that day since it takes 1 min to check a few boxes and 4 days went by and when I called it was still sitting on the nurses desk and that was the day it should've been already mailed to them and at the DUA office so that put me in a bind and made my documentation late. I had to stand in there and force him to take the time that day and then rush to the post office to mail it when it was already late. This happened again with more paperwork and all they tell me is he's been with patiences so he can't get to my paper that has like 9 questions total? He didnt even know how to fill out my disability paperwork or this form! The women at the desk will ignore your concerns and just tell you they will let the doctor know and call you back..they never do..unless they want you to come in for another visit which is just more $$$ for them. That's all they care about..not deadlines, not your important paperwork, not professionalism, not being on time, or any sense of common courtesy or heart for your situation. Prepare to be completely disgusted by their attitudes and performance and lack of care because they don't care about you or your issues. I dont know how that office is honestly open or how they are keeping any patients. I get way better patient care in Indiana and Illinois and that says a lot since this Boston area was said to be the BEST in healthcare period...well I have yet to find it here."
