"I was calling this past week for 4 days trying to get a call back. Last voicemail today was by far the most frustrated. Finally got a call but I don't even think it was because they checked the voicemails. So I decided to read the reviews. This office is rated so poorly, and everyone has encountered the exact same experience as I. No call backs, even after voicemails and calling throughout the day over and over, no operator to speak to a person incase you really need to get through. My initial experience was with a doctor here when my insurance changed. She was only available in the office 2 days a week. 2 days! Why would any patient want that? And she made me feel truly uncomfortable. Always remarking on the color of my hair, I felt mocked to be honest like she was judging me, instead of focusing on my health. Finally I got fed up and one of the girls in the office recommended me to another woman doctor in the office. She is kind and seems helpful but I haven't seen her too much, and I tried booking with her last week but she was booked so I had another doctor who doesn't know me or my history give me basic tests, which rules out some things but I tried calling to make an appointment with my doctor and couldn't get through. And when I went to the fill in last week I wanted her to check me for a sinus infection or something because I've had a headache almost constantly for two weeks and she just gives me a Schpeel and says see your primary care for a referral maybe.. what was the point of seeing you then? I will say this. The nurses and front desk have always been super kind to me, and I love that part of the experience they're very friendly and relatedable, but the doctors I feel a disconnect with and I feel like a test subject and just sent away with the same problems and a script until I finally give up and the problem doesn't get resolved. It's honestly the worst feeling. If my insurance hadn't changed I would have never left my doctor at Harvard medical in Weymouth because she saw me, spent time like she cared and she also would test me for things the same day! Not send me just referrals or for testing somewhere else! Also, at Beth Israel, almost EVERY time, I have waited 30mins-1 hour to be seen after my appointment time has started.. my time is important too. And most recently one of the NP got a speculum stuck on my cervix. I mean clamped on and she’s trying to twist it off, she finally asked another girl, and proceeds to whisper instead of being upfront about the issue. Talk about pain. I couldn’t stop screaming or crying. And NO, this should never happen if a person is trained correctly I called my regular GYN to confirm."
"The actual scheduling of a checkup was easy. However, I recently switched my prescription and was instructed to reach out for a refill after 15 days of use. It has been a month and a half and I have not received a refill for the prescription. I have called, emailed, and used the app to try to get in touch with ANYONE to refill the prescription. HORRIBLE patient experience."
"I normally never write reviews but I figured the lack of service and lack of care this office exhibits is worth me sharing with the world. If you're expecting good service and a kind. staff you're looking at the wrong place. Don't use this office trust me. And even if you wanted to see them you're most likely going to be sent to voicemail 10 times. But do not worry they will take about five days before they respond to your voicemail!! so if you're truly sick your best bet is going to the emergency room or finding a different doctor, that's what I just did!"
"You may get some care when required, IN my experience getting an appointment was the east part. BUT everything else is downhill. Doctor is kinda nice but it feels like they make it a point to delay the appointments by easy 1/2 hr. Prescriptions requests and all other office admin part is a disaster. I would try to get another PCP just to get the hell out of BIDMC nightmare."
