"I purchased a ring for my wife a month before Christmas that had to be special ordered due to it having my daughters' birthstones. I was unsure about the ring and the setting and hesitant to purchase it but the assistant manager, Kristin, who was helping me said that it could be returned if she did not like it. I went ahead and asked for the three stones to be in a certain order and reiterated 3 or 4 times the order as the manager seemed to not be sure which birth stones was which month. I paid the just under $600 and left. Two weeks later looked at the receipt to double check when it may be completed. Upon checking the receipt I noticed that the stones were getting set in the wrong order. I called and it was too late to switch them, which is understandable, but frustrating as I had said the order I wanted multiple times. They told me that it could be sent in to have them reset but it wouldn't arrive for Christmas. I didn't want to do this as it was a Christmas present so I picked up the ring when it was ready and went on with the holiday. When I gave it to my wife she said that she had found a different ring with the birthstones that she liked. No problem, I thought, as the assistant manager had said it was refundable. I called the store to check that it could be returned as I live an hour and a half away, I was told it could not be returned but they could reset the stones for me. Very unhappy as my wife found a different ring that she liked and I spent so much on a ring that I couldn't return even though I was told otherwise, I agreed to just do that. At the same time of that call they actually asked me if I had picked up the ring at all. There were clearly issues with communication and in store handling of the process. When I brought the ring back in to the store, my wife had decided we would just have it resized and not send it off again for stone placement. There wasn't a point as I planned to just buy the other ring from a different store. I told the clerk what had happened and the assistant manager happened to be standing there and refused to admit that she had made mistakes. She said she would not have told me that in a rude tone and said that I was the one who made the mistakes. When I told her that I just want the ring resized and that they would not see me back all she replied was a snarky "that's fine." I will not be going back to this, nor any other days jewelers and I hope that they don't train their employees to be as rude, unknowledgeable, and show such poor customer service as the assistant manager Kristin displayed. I would not recommend them to anyone and won't be back, but clearly they don't care about the business. I have made a few purchases from Days for my wife before and never been treated and falsely led as I was this occasion. It bothers me every time I think about the experience or drive by a Days."

"I don't wear jewelry as a rule, so I'm not a frequent shopper at Days. I only go in occasionally to get a watch battery replaced. Everyone employed there cheerfully acknowledged me. One even suggested I could have a bottle of water or soda while I waited. I work retail myself - these folks have it down to a science! Maybe I reminded the very nice employee at the back of her grandmother or something, but she didn't charge me for this last replacement. I wasn't having a great day, but this actually ended it on a positive note. Thanks."
