"I was thrilled when I got the notification for reviewing this “service.” I have been with a practitioner there for over a decade, and Lifestance has completely ruined my experience with them. There is over a $100 fee if you miss an appointment or don’t cancel in time, completely neglecting the relationships that were already formed between patients and their practitioners about timing and missing appointments. People come here for therapy. Most can barely afford it, shame on Lifestance for penalizing patients for showing symptoms of their conditions. A fee is fine, but set up a better system so it’s manageable for patients who are struggling. I was referred to a psychiatrist through Lifestance, and when they were incompetent I was flagged as a problem patient and was no longer able to use their services for psychiatry. This practitioner was late with refills, sent prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy multiple times, and misgendered me almost every visit and to my other doctors. It is beyond incompetence here. It is a joke. I stick with my therapist. I go where they go. Lifestance needs to get its act together."
"Was scammed by my doctor David Barbosa for added charges and then set up a payment plan which Jamie Branco decided to take upon herself to start charging me random amounts then once confronted said they would refund the money after taking the last large payment out at once. She then said I needed to check with my bank about the refund charges even though my bank claims Lifestance never once even attempted to make a refund to deposit to my account. They will not send me a recipe for a refund or anything and just claim they sent it and to “check with my bank” and was told someone from management reached out to me & just literally didn’t. Lifestance owes me between $500-$1000 and I’m sure I will never see this money. Once confronted my “doctor” David Barbosa blocked my phone number. A quick search of the Lifestance company shows they have no issue scamming mental health patients & probably know exactly what they’re doing because it’s a section of society that obviously will not fight back"
"Helped me reframe my narrative loop but pricy/inflexible no-show fees. I was given the tools, validation, empathy, and practice needed to process my complex post traumatic stress to move forward with my life. The therapy itself was a 10/10 for me. Regarding price and inflexible fees, if you’re late to an appt, in my experience they call you ~10 minutes (sometimes longer) after your appt started. Even if you call back or log-in, if you don’t connect with your provider "
"After years and years of being a good and easy patient, I couldn't get a prescription for and extra month. I started a new job and my Dr works the exact times I do. So in the meantime I was set up to meet with another dr in the practice. Still not able to get a refill because I had to be seen 1st. I am now suffering from withdrawals, having a hard time with my problems without treatment and won't be seen until May 23. How is that patient care. Besides the fact it cost me more as a copay with insurance than it did if I was to walk in from off the street. May 23rd is a lifetime away for someone like me."
"Shoddy communication and billing practices. Money is the priority here, with zero regard to the patient. Beware of multiple missed appointment fees. They make you pay it to schedule an appointment, and then they hit you with it again to schedule the next one. They collect from the insurance and the patient. Fraudulent billing practices."
