"I can't say enough good things about this place. Especially Dr. Kavolus. I went for hip pain. He was very friendly and kind, listened closely to all of our concerns, answered all of our questions. He was very thorough in his work up. He was also very caring about how I felt when I was getting an injection to help with the pain. 10/10 would recommend."
"I have had 4 total joint replacements, so no stranger to NWOA or ortho mds in general. I just saw hand specialist Dr. Wajdi Kanj and was so impressed by his thoroughness, compassion and stellar care. I will recommend him with absolute confidence."
"I was hit by a car on my bike, and my ER discharge papers recommended that I followup with the Newton Wellesley Orthopedics office. The office refused to schedule me unless I had the phone number of the insurance adjuster of the guy who hit me. I offered to pay for the price of the visit in full in cash, and they still refused. I just needed to be seen ASAP by a doctor. EDIT: As a followup, I ended up calling both Brigham and Womenโs Hand service, and Mass General Hand and Arm service in Waltham. Both offices had no issues scheduling me - although I ultimately went with Mass General, and was super satisfied with my care there. Regardless, I would avoid this office. It was much easier dealing with thee other offices."
"Regarding Dr. Bruce Leslie - During the appointment, I asked a follow up question about my son's x-ray. He told me "Give up control mom" and I said it was only a question. He again repeated "Yes, give up control Mom." Who talks to a parent this way in front of their child? He then proceeded to pet my hands 3 separate times during the consultation! Incredibly unprofessional and a terrible example of how a man should talk to and treat women. Why is he touching me? He has absolutely no reason to touch me. I will not follow up with him and I will NEVER recommend him to anyone. Dr. Leslie, was also dismissive of Urgent Care who did an x-ray (10/31/2022) which showed a fracture in my son's thumb. The x-ray in the Orthopedic Dept. didn't show a fracture and he said "This is why you don't go to urgent care for these things.""
"Dr Kavolous was callous and abrupt. He wouldn't even take time to explain my MRI to me. All he said was it wasn't bad and didn't suggest surgery. Yet, I have a hip labrum tear, another partial tear, and tendinitis in 3 tendons. When I messaged him he ignored me. At the visit he told me to use a medicated gel. In the paperwork I filled out I said I couldn't take Nsaids. He never told me this gel had nsaids in it. I used it without knowing as directed until I felt siick and noticed the ingredients. I would never go back to him."
