"Water fountains should be back on by now, but alas, they are not. The splash pad is decent! Good for the kiddos and parents to cool off in the heat! Bring sun screen! The bigger slide near the road is a bit dangerous and causes a lot of kiddos to bump their heads and fall off at the bottom. Some tears but still they have fun. Another thing is the sliding pole on the center green tower. I personally watched a 3 or 4 year old belly flop off stright to the ground. Wasnt pretty. Sure, its maybe not a feature meant for the littlest littles but still I feel it poses more danger than it has to offer fun. I'd rethink that design. There needs to be a bit more tables under the shade provider nearest the building. The little blue library box is a nice feature. My son and I have had some fun reading whats in there, however, since its free reign for all, Ive found a few inappropriate materials for the age groups that congregate at this park. Beware of the restroom area. We recently found some nefariously used needles in that spot so I do not recommend letting your children go over there without supervision or shoes. Riverbend is nearby the park and is an excellent spot to take the kiddos for some grub and to cool off. Lots of options for the whole family. Enjoy your park dwelling!"
"From what I saw it is a nice park in a bustling area of Dover. Driving to it and parking were the most confusing part with the one-way roads. Was mostly at the Rotary Arts Pavillion as part of the Dover Trad Festival."
"This is a great playground park. Lots of different things to climb and be creative on including a big boat for creative play. Sand and wood chip. Some musical stuff. Close parking. Not a green park. Next to children's museum."
"This park isn't huge but offers many different things to do....in one day you can see a concert, watch your kids first time getting across a difficult climbing obstacle, and meet a bunch of dogs! Great playground and right next to NH Children's Museum (moved from Portsmouth years ago) Open 5am-1130pm"
"Lots of things to do to grab kids attention. Musical instrument section, small rope course, climbing tower, splash pad in the summer, large boat replica, and even a garden with veggies for kids to pick and eat!"
