"Our entire family appreciated all The Eliot Team did to make my sister feel comfortable during her stay with them, and to manage her health issues. All the staff were kind and caring towards my sister, and demonstrated a work ethic and professionalism that resulted in a positive experience for my sister and our family."
"My 6 year old has been on the waiting list since April. I received an email back in June saying they’re taking her off the waitlist because I never signed the release they sent. I never received one. So the person who was emailing me ( who was very rude btw) says “ I’ll resend them but if you don’t return our email in the future she will be taken off the list” I never received any paperwork in my email. The only things I received was the original notice that acknowledges I wanted treatment, the email saying she was being removed, and the documents she “ resent” that I needed to sign. When I asked for some type of estimate in how long we would be waiting she said she had no idea, but that most people don’t respond. Humm same situation that I just went through. I’m just wondering how I’m supposed to get my daughter the service that she needs? I called and left messages countless times and nobody’s ever responded. I waited months for her to be seen and her issues aren’t getting better. I’m going to call today to try to see what we can do as her Pediatrician keeps referring us here ."
"Editing to add that someone called me from Eliot, explained the situation, and was very apologetic. This, IMO, makes up for what happened especially since I have a better understanding of everything. Avoid this place at all costs. Communication is horrible. It took me a month to get my medical records. No one answers the phone or returns voicemails, and no one responds to emails. Initially I was told that I had to go in-person to submit the medical release form which I thought was strange considering we are almost a year into a pandemic. I thought surely businesses would have adapted their procedures to reduce in-person interactions. A month later when my records still weren't released I spent 2-3 days calling every number I could and sending multiple emails, trying to speak to a human being to get answers. It honestly seems like no one is working at Eliot right now, or they are just working whenever they feel like it. The cherry on top is when I finally received an email from the director, Melissa, who sent me the release form electronically! Also, the therapist I was seeing (who I really liked) is no longer working here and now I see that there is a high turn-over rate so that makes sense. I suggest to avoid the headaches go elsewhere..."
"I've been going here for roughly 5 years and have had 3 counselors in total. Around my first year here, I stopped going and came back and found out my first counselor had left which was a bummer because she was great. My second one left after a few years and I now have another one who is great. All of the counselors seem very nice but I will agree with another poster who said they seem to have a high turnover rate in staff. I do want to add that parking can be tough over here, especially if your appointment is after about 2 or 3pm and it's only street parking."
"Do yourself A favour, stay away from this place! The crisis team talks a good game, but then leaves you in an emergency room that is ill prepared to help you. Then they insist you stay in one of their facilities, far from home, where your family is unable to visit. What a mess."
