"This is a terrible hospital. They don’t respond to messages when you are suffering, they are always late for your appointments and they make it as hard as they possibly can for you to see a doctor. I have never felt more dehumanized by the medical system than I have here."
"If I could give this urgent care ZERO stars I would. I went to this urgent care when I was sick because it was after hours at my Beth Israel primary care‘s office. When I arrived, the woman tried to find me in the computer with no luck. I opened my BI portal on my phone and showed her that I have been a patient for many years. She was confused and said she would create a guest account so I could be seen. I had a strep throat test and left. I recently received an invoice where I was charged roughly $100 for the strep test, and a $293 new patient fee. I called this Chestnut Hill office and was told they are not affiliated with Beth Israel and are an independent company. If this is true, I am absolutely appalled. If it is, indeed true, the woman at the front desk should have been upfront and honest so I could have left before being seen. Why Beth Israel would allow their name and reputation to be used this way is beyond me. If they do not resolve this, I will be contacting the attorney general because there is a 2022 federal law regarding surprise bills, and this is most definitely that. I will never go here again. It all seems very dishonest. Patient beware!"
"I didn’t want to go to the regular BI lab due to traffic and parking, so I went to this Chestnut Hill one. First you have to make an appointment. But those don’t seem to matter as the staff is the laziest group employees with more attitude. They had no patience in the lab and we’re talking about TV shows for at least 10 minutes. But I should be happy if they were doing me such a favor by doing their job. I told them I was leaving and they told me to chill out. I was the next one up. Then the person was rude to the other patient in the area. We both left."
"Much of the staff here was very rude, when I went here a while back. They don't tell you where to go for specialists. So, I went in the wrong door. The staff there seemed annoyed that I did so. When I did find my specialist's office, the staff was fine, but later realized they were definitely understaffed (always out to lunch when I called). Was not happy with the specialist I saw there. A variety of frustrating issues in the long run. I'm sure there are good docs here, though. I personally don't ever plan to go back to this place ..."
"This is the least transparent billing system of any healthcare facility I have been to. I was billed a $367 “hospital facility fee”, in addition to the actual office visit bill, for a follow up appointment with a specialist I had seen at a different location originally (with no hidden hospital fees coming out of my deductible the first time). This isn’t a hospital. It’s an urgent care located above a grocery store. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is tax fraud, where they bill urgent care and doctor office visits as “hospital rooms” to collect more money. When I asked to dispute the bill and speak to someone, I received a call two weeks later saying that my billing dispute was denied. No one even spoke to me. When I asked for how to obtain the appropriate information on whether or not an appointment in the future would be billed as both a hospital visit AND a doctor appointment, I was told that I would have to provide the appointment information to my insurance company to find out how it would be billed. Just don’t go here. You are nothing but a pocketbook in the eyes of this institution. The Boston area has so many superior medical facilities. Take your money there. This place isn’t worth the headache."
