Reviews of PM Pediatric Urgent Care
"I used to go here all the time and got good care in the past for my kids. Not sure what happened, but my last few walk-in visits almost 1.5 to 2 hours before close, they did not provide care with reason stating they are understaffed and they have only one provider on site. So the whole purpose of urgent care got defeated. Update: On one of the occasions, when Woburn rejected my walk-in, I still was able to drive to Dedham location and they seemed to be well staffed and provided appropriate care. So all in all, avoid going to Woburn location, unless if your going there early hours."
"We had a good experience here a year ago with older kid, but yesterday not so much. We were told by primary care team to go get seen because our baby was on day 2 of sudden bottle refusal. Booked an appt for 4:20, arrived at 4:10, got seen finally at about 5:35. I mean, not great, but bad days happen. But when Dawn Buxbaum (NP) walked in the room she brought a bunch of bad energy with her. We never even met her before but she kept speaking sharply to us. Like, baby spit out pacifier and started crying and husband tried to offer it back (as one does, no?) and she barked "she doesn't NEED that." Like, wow, OK. We were having a record-book horrible day too, but we weren't barking at anyone. Then, after basic check, she said there's nothing wrong with the baby, and here's the gist of what happened next: Me: well, she drank bottles for 8 months no problem, now she won't. Her: yeah, but she's eating purees and she's not dehydrated. Me: so it's OK if she doesn't get formula at 8 months? Her: well, no. Me: so you expect her to start drinking again? Her: I don't know. Me: do you have any advice to give? Her: I would follow up with your primary care. Me: OK sure, but do you have any sense of why this kind of thing happens? Her: I don't know. Me: well, my first kid never did anything like this, have you seen this before in other patients? Her: I just really don't know. (all with a voice tone like I was the dumb one) I felt like saying thanks for nothing. But I remembered my manners. I mean, I get that she might not 'know', but the reason you talk to a medical professional has to do with their years of experience and the cases they've seen and the guidance they can offer. If she was just having a bad day from being overworked, then this place needs to hire more NPs/PAs, whatever. If she's just like that, they should consider finding someone with a decent beside manner."
"The nurse told those of us waiting in the waiting room that our children weren’t dying and to seek out another provider in the context of them having a busy day. She was encouraging us not to wait. First time here…didn’t leave the best impression"
"Used to be good for after hours urgent care. Not anymore. Got there like 16 minutes before closing. I know they mentioned last registration 20 minutes before closing. But we were only 4 minutes difference. The receptionist did not seem to care, no compassion and told me to go to Winchester Hospital said it’s 24 hours. Got there and they are closed, they only opened until 5pm….if I didn’t go there I would be able to make it to another urgent care in Medford."
"This place USED to be great for after hours services. Not anymore. We've been here maybe 3 times in the last year and everytime we come the wait service is longer and worse. Now they are taking appointment ahead of my child and we've been here almost hours already. It's a flipping walk in clinic... should be going in order by the time the patient arrives or medical seriousness. Place is a joke"
