Reviews of Boston ENT Associates
"Long story short: I worked with Boston ENT for almost 6 months and ended up with no surgery and many lost hours calling insurance. I woke up this morning not being able to breathe through my nose just thinking about how if I had worked with any other ENT I would not be having these issues right now. August 2021: Went in for a consult that Boston ENT would be covered by my insurance. It was 15 minutes and was not covered - I was charged $650. Spent hours working with insurance to get an exception for this. October 2021: Surgery scheduled after confirmation from Boston ENT that my surgery would be covered by insurance since it was at Needham BI Deaconess - different department, different insurance coding. After working with my insurance, they informed me this was not the case and if I got surgery it would be out of network. Had to cancel nearly the day of. December 2021: Boston ENT said they figured out why I wasn't covered (after I informed them what I learned from my insurance). They said they have started the process for me to be covered so I should be all set to schedule another. Scheduled surgery. This is my mistake thinking they would get it right after the previous failures. Days before the surgery, insurance confirms again that I'm still not covered. Had to cancel again and that was the last I worked with them. Now I have a job with much less flexibility and my life is busier and I don't have vacation time to recover from this surgery. I just wish I had found a different ENT back when I had the time to improve my quality of life"
"Eve Adler, Audiologist was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have EVER dealt with. I was getting a hearing test in the booth, door closed and I pulled my mask down a bit and she said I have to put it back over my nose. I said I''m in the booth, then she actually grabbed the headphones off my head told me if I don't put it all the way up and pinch it around my nose she's not doing the test, I said it's over my nose, then she slammed the booth door and went thru the test in a curt, abrupt manner, then removed those headphones and slapped on haphazardly different type of set and slammed the door again. Once it was over, she said you hearing is normal!! Nothing else! When I was exiting, she said I needed you to have your mask on because I have an autoimmune disease. Well, I'm sure she had her c l o t shot and she was wearing a mask, why all the fuss when I am breathing out of my nose. I let one of the other technicians know what I just went through and she was very apologetic and empathetic for what just happened. Honestly, I think it was when she called me into her office, she saw my "Trump" shirt, that's when her attitude changed from that point on. My adrenaline was peeked and I was extremely upset of how I was mistreated. That snowflake women needs to check herself. No one should ever have to be treated so rudely in a professional environment."
"Beyond unprofessional. Canceling my appointment within 2 hours of it's time and refusing to have me seen at any alternate location. I'm in extreme pain and needed to be seen to get a prescription but Michelle was exceptionally rude on the phone and was not understanding or helpful at all. Would avoid at all costs"
"Dr. Stone and the PA Sean were both very competent with great bedside manners. I had to leave solely due to the lack of communication, lack of respect, as well as the unprofessional and rude manner of the front desk staff and the nurse (Mike). If you ever ask to speak with the doctor or send a message via the patient portal, do not expect an answer. Drs should not be seeing 50 patients a day, as the quality of care diminishes greatly. SO happy that I don't have the stress of being a patient here any longer. JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF MANY: I woke up with extreme vertigo, nausea, and vomiting at 5 am, I did not want to bother the doctor on call so I waited until the office opened at 9 am to call. I explained my symptoms to the nurse who told me he would send the message to the dr. At around 11:30 am I called back asking for an update and they stated that Dr. stone was in surgery all morning and would be in soon. I asked if one of the other 4 doctors in the office could prescribe just 1 Zofran so that I could stop vomiting because I had been vomiting non-stop since 5 am, and he replied "they probably won't do that, but dr. stone should be in soon". They have no compassion or urgency. I got a call from my pharmacy around 12:45 pm that a Zofran prescription was sent. Mike "the nurse" did not call me until 3 pm to let me know the dr. sent over a prescription for Zofran. Again, really couldn't care less. I am a nurse in an ER and a nurse practitioner student and I am appalled by their patient treatment and quality of care. The worst nurse I have ever seen and front desk staff I have ever seen."
"This location rescheduled 3x for my initial appointment within ONE HOUR for various reasons, and were only able to book me out 2-3 weeks at a time. I would rearrange my schedule and then they would just .. cancel. No one really seemed to care - and were upset with me that I was upset about it? And the constant reminders that if I late cancelled I would have to pay a fee really had me laughing, seems like they owe me about $100 lol. They continuously asked me what I was coming in for and then inquired as if I was supposed to know why I needed a hearing test, (they were the ones that said I needed a hearing test before the initial appointment) I don't know, hot mess lol I ended up called another ENT in the area who scheduled me for a hearing test AND an initial appointment in the same appointment about a week out."
