"I am very disappointed with that hospital, they do not treat their patients well, the only thing they care about is taking money from medical insurance, my son was sick and everything was lie after lie, at no time did the social worker speak with him, and I left messages and nothing. They lied to him all the time, look at the families of his loved ones, don't allow them to get there. That's scary when you enter, a prison is horrible, the food is worse... billerica correctional looks more decent and they treat the prisoners better What a tewksbury hospital. I'm disappointed and I'm never going to send a loved one there..."
"Disgusting! On a medical rehabilitation unit and get treated less than human. The police officers that work here, treat us less than human. A male staff just walks in the ladies bathroom while my friends shirt was off and didn't even knock. Walks right over to her and asks if we're going to eat our dinner. NO SHIRT, NO BRA! There's so many simple human rights being violated here and it's frustrating because the more we complain, the more that gets taken away from us."
"This is the absolute worst place for any human being. My husband had a brain injury and was sent there for rehab. Seriously? It looked like one flew over the coo coos nest! It's a place that they put people to let them just die I swear. my husband hadn't even been "evaluated" after 4 days. He told me he would rather kill himself then be there. I went over and signed him out against medical advice. I took him to his PCP that same day and she said... why in the hell was he in there! Don't ever let anyone you know even visit in those wards. If you could give 0 starts I would."
"I have someone dear to me in this hospital. Scary, dreadful. Staff exacerbates and incites residents in the midst of their illness. There is no plan for recovery only an intent to keep residents sedated and quiet. The staff are unprofessional and one step away from an institution themselves. Thus, wielding their power to berate and diminish any healthy part a patient may have left. Their goal is to frighten the patients and make them sound unbelievable when they are actually telling the truth. There are both men and women on the ward. A recipe for disaster. Also male attendants supervise female patients when they shower if they are on a 1-2-1. This hospital must be investigated by the state, media or patient rights advocates. In a phrase it’s a hell hole that is set up to debilitate patients rather than rehabilitate them."
"I also reviewed the Public Health Museum, inside the hospital. Google the past of this place, please. It was once a 1,000 acre self-supporting city. Men, women and children lived here. It housed hospitals, asylums, orphanages, dorms, farms... everything! The tour and tour guides were very illuminating. The Public Health Museum was great!"
