"Dr Weakland is pleasant but one of the office staff members was so thoughtless today. She asked me when I was expecting the baby...yes, I am overweight, but I certainly do not look pregnant! She apparently has not learned that you never ask someone you don't know if they are pregnant just because they are a large woman. I am really upset"

"If you cannot perform your job in a polite manner or at the very least perform your job properly then you should not work on healthcare. I had an issue with a seriously infected ingrown toenail. The front end staff were awesome and were able to get me an appointment to be seen ASAP for removal of the ingrown nail. I drove almost an hour to get there, that’s how desperate I was. The front end staff and the woman that saw me prior to the doctor were great. However, Dr. Getzen needs to retire or find a new profession. Being a healthcare worker myself, I have the upmost patience for others in the field, knowing how busy and difficult it can be at times. However, Dr. Getzen was visibly very rushed and also rude. She was about to just prescribe me antibiotics and send me on my way when the nail was visibly very infected. I told her the nail needed to come out. She performed the nail removal surgery but did not apply the chemical that is to be placed on the site so that that part of the nail would not grow back (a task which has been performed both times I’ve had the procedure in the past). Worried that I would be faced with my problem again, I asked her why the medication was not applied. She explained it to me in a rushed manner using podiatry jargon that I did not understand (as I have never worked in podiatry). When I did not understand what she was saying and politely asked her again, her literal response was “….because of what I just said…” (she said this in an irritated tone, and acted like I was stupid for not understanding what she was saying). Before I left she said that antibiotics would be prescribed to the pharmacy that I had listed in my paperwork (I had also verbalized which pharmacy to send them to prior to leaving). I checked in with the pharmacy throughout the day to see if the antibiotics were ready, they were never even called in. I tried calling Concord Foot and Ankle to check in with them on the matter and they were closed. And so I was left with an open wound on my toe that had already been infected and is now at more risk of being infected due to their negligence. The office won’t even be open until Monday. I do not recommend this facility or at the very least I do not recommend Dr. Getzen for a doctor. As I said, if you cannot work in a polite manner or at the very least perform your job properly, then you shouldn’t work in healthcare at all."

"Found the doctor there completely unhelpful and unsympathetic. I have severe pain from what she said is a bone bruise on ball of foot , but no solution other than to continuing to wear my orthotics. I have worn them daily for over two months my foot is still very swollen and doesn’t seem to be healing. Ugh…. Useless advice and help. If she had not ridiculed my perfectly adequate athletic shoes, (suggesting I should buy $150-$200 dollar ones)…I might have not been as annoyed."

"The office staff are willfully unkind and abrasive. They care more about the nickel and dime than the patient, and even under extraneous circumstances will charge a missed appt fee of $75 dollars, - even if the missed appt is their fault, they will get their money. And won’t let a child be seen (even one in severe pain) unless they collect their fee. “We offer a payment plan” was the response. If their policies and staff treat patients with this degree of disdain, I can’t imagine the doctors are much better."

"The front desk staff are very rude. First time i came in i got yelled at for no mask. Sorry i don’t carry a box around with me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time thinking they had a bad day. No- They’re very rude to everybody that walks in. Someone came and asked for directions and one lady was extremely rude about how this isn’t the office he’s looking for this is foot and ankle. My doctor that i saw - Dr. Rossi- i was really pleased with. She was great and made me feel comfortable- but the front end staff is horrible. Especially working for Emerson & have previously worked in customer service."
