"I've never walked out of an urgent care before being seen before, but I don't regret leaving here for a second. I can understand that sometimes these facilities are busy and there are long wait times. I had packed more than enough patience for that, but the way I was treated was just unacceptable. I waited patiently for my spot in line despite being in quite a lot of pain from a UTI. Once it was finally my turn to check in, I was told the urgent care wait is close to 2 hours and given a line of questions, unsubtly an attempt to turn me away because they were already busy. I get it, I answered honestly and sure enough I qualified to grab a spot in line. As they were preparing the paperwork I got that sudden violent need to find the nearest bathroom, so I asked the assistant at the desk. She ignores me. I answer more questions, and ask again. She tells me I'll have to submit a urine sample when I'm seen and does not tell me where the bathroom is. I was in so much pain I could cry. I insist that I'll be able to give a sample "in 2 hours" as they said the wait time would be, at which point they begrudgingly showed me the bathroom. When I get back they tell me to fill out a clipboard of forms. Totally understand, that's the typical process. It's a pretty thick packet, so I take the clipboard to go sit down and fill it out, but she stops me and insists that I finish the forms standing at the counter. I'm sure that's fine for most people, but I have POTS and I'm wearing a winter coat in a warm room and already tired, so I've already been tachycardic for about 10 minutes. I tell her I have a heart condition and need to sit down, and she allowed it passive aggressively. I did not feel cared for or cared about. I understand that things can be crazy in healthcare, and I promise I was not trying to be rude asking for these accommodations. Everyone has bad days, and I guess we were all having one today. I filled out all of the forms and went back to sit down, still a little put off about everything. I get called back up and told that my copay is significantly higher than expected. Even though Concentra has an urgent care department, it's not BILLED as an urgent care facility. Are you kidding me? All of that, and I'm paying that much more? No thank you, I'll take my chances with Convenient MD."
"Walked in with 10/10 shoulder pain, 15 minutes after opening with only 2 people in the lobby. Woman at the counter was Incredibly rude, and tried her best to not see me, when she realized I was insistent on being seen I was told a 2 hour wait. Left and went to clear choice and was seen in 10 minutes. Woman at the counter should find a new job in a field that doesn't require interacting with people. Will not be returning."
"Went for a pre employment drug screen and physical. Front desk ladies were very nice but very distracted by where they wanted to go for lunch and what stores to shop at, which lead to longer wait times for everyone there. The team out back was great and down to the point took my sample and vision and hearing and had me in a room in minutes. Doctor asked more then she needed to but was in and out pretty quickly as a walk in. Don’t bother scheduling as they are two weeks out no matter what. Get there before 9:00 AM and you’ll be seen fairly quickly as long as you keep reminding the front desk lady to send you the text messages"
"People were nice but the wait time was crazy! Definitely if you can make an appointment it would be better. If you don’t have the ability to make an appointment make sure you have time to wait. Thanks to the great staff though! They were all very pleasant!"
"Went there on Friday for a drug screening for work. I was told the wait was going to be about 45 minutes but I believe it was probably less than 25. The ladies at the front desk were very sweet and helpful and they had such a positive attitude. Nurse was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Thank you!"
