"My experience with Carewell Urgent Care was above and Beyond my expectation! I was given exact directions, from the gentleman answering the chat option, who greeted me at the desk upon arrival. The receptionist was attentive and helpful with the check-in process, conveying the wait time to me and, other patients (2), and those who were calling non-stop. The Medical Assistant was pleasant, very knowledgeable at taking my medical and medication history. (I have a rare Primary Immunodeficiency necessitating home antibody infusions every 10 days) that most medical professionals are not familiar with. Infections are frequent and need to be treated aggressively to avoid ER visits and hospital admissions. The Medical Assistant and PA showed sincere interest in hearing about the condition (over 400 types) with serious ramifications of untreated infections. The recommended antibiotic was sent to the pharmacy after ruling out viral sources. I had the same symptoms 3 months ago, and was seen at another carewell urgently care. A chest x-ray showed bilateral pneumonia-The same antibiotic was given I’m already feeling better and back to my job as an RN this morning. I’m grateful your staff took me seriously and the PA was amendable to the previous treatment. As a medical professional, and patient, I really felt sad when I read some of the Google reviews.. For those complaining about every little thing like waiting for 2 hrs, or they didn’t like the receptionists tone, or the “guy that opens the door?” Newsflash! Urgent Care Centers are picking up the slack for everyone! Primary Care’s, Specialists, and ER’s are so overburdened that Urgent Cares are picking up the slack! They are helping those of us who can’t even get medical care from our own specialists ! Where would you go without their services? - “The Third World”???? Seriously-If you thought the care was better in the third world, you should probably go there rather than bashing Carewell! Try calling your own Doctor for 3 days with Shingles while it morphs to Cellulitis! Now you’re in the hospital on IV antibiotics! Oh-No! your IV fell out because our staff took your blood pressure over the site too many times?? Geez-we laid off our IV Nurses but our regular Nurses are being trained by watching You-Tube Videos on their own time. They can practice on you and when unsuccessful,-and they will be-you’ll need a PIC line! Your PIC line is blocked-What a shocker! We’ll insert another one- teach you how to take care of it yourself-and your discharged! Next..: When your Covid morphs into pneumonia while waiting for a call back from your Doc, as your condition deteriorates—you call 911. Welcome to the Intensive Care Unit and your ventilator! Had you gone to Urgent Care, waited a couple of hours, you could have avoided 3 months on a ventilator followed by 3 months in rehab! If you don’t like the receptionist, feel free to have a seat in your local ER for 18 hours in A-Fib! Go to the ER 4 times within one week with a 103 temp and sit in the waiting room for 12 hours-your finally seen-only to get discharged with xerox copy of generic discharge instructions for a Virus” saying take Tylenol and fluids which you already know. When your fevers get worse, you decide to go to another ER-they’ll take some blood-discharge you with the same virus instructions! 2 weeks later, you receive a call to return since your bloodwork showed you have a tick borne illness that you contracted from that trip to “the third world”!!! Sorry for the rant but Carewell Urgent Care has been a lifesaver for me-so I had to take a stand!"
"I had a great experience this past weekend with my sick child. I saved my place in line on their website the night before and the check in process was quick and easy. Wait time was appropriate considering it’s flu season and the staff were friendly and helpful."
"If I could give this place a zero I would. I went there and they had an empty parking lot and 3 people in the back being “treated” they have approximately 10 rooms and we waited 2 hours just to be seen. It took them another hour and still no doctor to even talk with us…. Poor service for a car provider with the name “Carewell”. I have been to third world countries with better care for patients than this… The check in Dude is rude as well…."
"First time here. I was in and out in less than an hour! My doctor (Sharon) was professional, compassionate, thorough, and listened to my concerns. The xray tech was prompt and professional. My meds were at the pharmacy quickly, and I am already feeling better! This will be my urgent care now!"
"Everyone was pretty nice besides TRACY she was extremely rude and not only to me, but multiple family members who have gone here and dealt with her have said the same thing. Also a friend of mine too. When I was sharing my experience with them and they immediately guessed who it was because of similar situations, it showed me this isn’t the first time she’s talked to patients with disrespect and made you feel terrible for coming in. She’s the front desk lady and has been like this for years I guess, I don’t think someone who’s so miserable and mean to her patients should work at an urgent CARE. The nasty looks on top of her condescending tone immediately had me out the door. Will not be coming back because of her. Although the rest of the staff is WONDERFUL AND NICE. As I’ve been there before without dealing with Tracy, and everyone else is so kind, caring and respectful."
