"Awful ever since Baystate forced themselves in. NP retired and patients were not notified. I received a letter dated November 30th stating that nobody at the practice would be accepting Mass Health anymore as of the end of the year. Pre-pandemic, 30 days notice might have been in the same area code as acceptable, but now that nobody is taking new patients, definitely not. Everyone who ever exhibited any professionalism is long since gone from this broken place. Do your best to avoid this practice and just hope it closes down before you're forced to try to see someone there."
"I've just left this practice after 6 years. I have no complaints about the quality of care from Dr Jones, but this office is not professionally run. The receptionists are unpleasant and show no urgency, I have had prescriptions delayed because their receptionists would not pick up a phone call from the pharmacy. I've had prescriptions sent to the wrong pharmacy.I've waited upwards of 3 weeks for a referral only to be referred to a provider who is not covered by my insurance. I've been refused a Covid test, I had somebody else's covid results inadvertently shared with me. Most recently my wife was sick and needed to be seen, but could not even get a phone call in. The telephone system just kept taking me to an on-call nurse who has no ability to communicate with the office. I called over 25 times during a 90-minute period. My health insurance called and could not make contact with them. It is nearly impossible to even get a phone call in to make an appointment with these people."
"Update: I have had an iron deficiency for 29 years now I've been sick for 8 years trying to get answers I was misdiagnosed by 2 nurse practioners since 2016 one without even doing a physical exam. Then in 2019 to 2021 they did blood work and said they'd contact me if there were any issues. I only know because I can look at all my tests now. My ferritin was at an 8 and 9 for at least 2 years and I was never notified still haven't been I brought it up last appointment once I looked at my records. In 2021 and 2022 I was in and out of the hospital I was so sick this was 1 of the reasons. They do not help you here they just want to get paid. I'm finally done my health is getting better because I did the research and I found out why. Horrible I've been a patient for 5 years. I need surgery they refused to make an appointment with a specialist after telling me they would so 3 days later I called for them to argue with me then try to send me somewhere they said couldn't handle what I needed but my insurance wasn't accepted at the 2 places they recommended. Then I was told they would check somewhere else and I would confirm if I wanted to go there. They just scheduled an appointment after refusing to do so at a place they said wasn't safe then refused to cancel it when I asked so I could do my research. Here I am just waiting having to do my own research and my own advocate 5 years no help when it's truly needed. Also 3 separate people in the office dropped the ball on this as well as the NP not communicating and ensuring a specialist who takes my actual insurance."
"My husband and I were p a t i en t s of Angela Giza's. She was the best. I called Monday or Tuesday July 31st or August 1st then, after waiting and then being second in line, I was switched to voicemail. This happened twice. Needless to say I felt abandoned. I thought a new NP was joining this practice in September. I didn't hear anything for several days so I called Dr. Hakim's office. I am so relieved that my husband and I have an appointment Early in September."
"Don’t even bother going to this practice the NP works one or two days a week Max now and she’s retiring and the second she officially retires they will drop you as a patient immediately and without warning. You will not just be transferred to Dr Wilson like at a typical practice. And they have the audacity to then turn around and say that the NPs don’t know the patients well enough to help them….how MORTIFYING. If I was the dr whose in charge of that NP I’d be so Embarrassed, after Angela official retires this year They’re just gonna drop you immediately as a patient anyway and make you jump through tons of hoops to become a new patient again, potentially spanning months. so just do yourself a huge favor and go to an actual doctor in Sturbridge or Ludlow, Palmer.. get out now. This place is basically a glorified, urgent care that’s going to make you wait a month to get help and likely triage you to someone you don’t need to see. We've had other physicians suggest we leave. Now, we finally decided to heed all the warnings from all the other drs!!!! We have already left and encourage everyone in our family we know, to do the same. Dr Wilson needs to shut his doors or get new NPs who can do more than just bP and triage. This certainly won’t be the last bad review either. I constantly hear how people are unhappy with this practice. Good luck. with that business model."
