"After years of suffering I decided to take control of my life and see someone to help me. I am only giving 3 stars because i'm so grateful to have been placed with an amazing therapist named Deborah, she is attentive, polite and genuinely an advocate for me. Unfortunately the front staff is constantly overworked. Zuleyka does amazing at getting back to me whenever she has a free moment. As far as the psychiatrist goes she is very short, does not listen to your needs and almost impossible to get an appointment with. I understand COVID has made things difficult but please put your clients who are in dire need first."
"At this point I don't even know where to start."
"Vickie is the best therapist ever. She helped me deal with the lost of my mother. I couldn’t have overcome that pain without her."
"Clinicians and staff are not trained in gender-affirming care yet. I was misgendered by at least one receptionist as well as a clinician. I also specified that I needed a therapist that was trained to work with adult CSA survivors; even if this therapist is amazing this felt misleading. Director of clinic said he would call me back with referrals within two days and did not do so. Before the incident with misgendering I could call this clinic and almost always someone would answer; now when I call it suspiciously goes to voice mail, which suggests they are screening my call. 4 stars because it seems like a great clinic that just needs training for clinicians and staff in gender-affirming care. Also I strongly suggest having a page with bios of basic info on providers. Update: Dropped to 1 star based on experiences my partner has had. My partner has been enthusiastic about working with them because he has had so many experiences with anti-blackness from mental health providers. Not only do they arbitrarily refuse to give appointment reminders to patients, despite it being a legitimate accessibility need many people have, but they lied about how soon he would get a full psychological evaluation. When he was finally about to get one the appointment was scheduled to happen IN PERSON during a pandemic. To recap: BIPOC may face the same barriers here as anywhere else, but from a familiar face, and there is casual ableism built into the structure of the practice. Also adding that the director never called me back. Glad to know that it's acceptable to mislead potential patients and then lie about calling them back with the correct referrals. If you're LGBT and/or an adult CSA survivor I do not recommend this place at all."
