Cooley Dickinson Urgent Care - Southampton

"I was a patient at Urgent Care Southampton yesterday. I was in a lot of pain and had not slept well in days. When I arrived I was greeted and ultimately seen in a timely fashion by true professionals. The three women , one at the front desk, the young intake woman, and the matter of fact, non judgemental doctor ALL were wonderful!!! Even though I was still hurting I left there feeling confident that everything would be fine soon. I'm a resident of Easthampton and am so happy to have Urgent Care Southampton close by. They truly made my day!!"

"I haven't been here since last year and yet she still remembered me. They are great people doing a stressful job not knowing what will walk in next. I do think CD needs to think about extending the lab hours. It'd be more convenient for those that work till 3 or 4 and don't want to go to Northampton."

"I've been here several times and its never the same. 3 out of 4 times they tell me to go to the hospital for basic illness such as vomiting. One time I came in with a soar throat and fever, they took cultures and ruled out strep, covid and flu and did nothing else but charge me 178$. One time I went in with an ingrown toenail and they helped me imensly with immediate care. I never know whether they will help me and my family or not."

"Tried to go to urgent care today for a sick visit. Showed up at 1:45. Was told they aren’t taking anymore patients today. I replied, aren’t you open until 5 pm? Was told yes they are, but they have appointments booked until 5. The woman at the desk was so unkind and you could tell she could care less that I wouldn’t be seen. No apology, no empathy, just reclined in her chair without a care in the world. What kind of “urgent care” place does not accept walk ins? Are you a doctors office or an urgent care? Since when do I need an appointment for urgent care? Sorry I can’t always predict when I’ll become sick or injured. Ridiculous."

"Recently I awoke feeling “off”. Took my blood pressure twice and both times it was very high. Went to this urgent care near me and asked if someone could take my blood pressure as I thought maybe my blood pressure cuff was inaccurate and needed calibration. The answer “we don’t do that here” and did not offer any kind of assistance . WOW. Went to the fire dept whereupon the wonderful paramedics not only took my BP (which was even higher) x3 and advised/offered to take me to go to the ER. Fortunately I was able to contact my PCP immediately and the issue was resolved via medication. My question is what good is this urgent care?"
