"I’ve been to Main Event Tuxedos 2 times now and each time Peter had great tuxedos and made me look great! I’ve been to other places and they’ve always messed up the pants measurements which has infuriated me. I talked with Peter, told him what it was for, my height, weight and he took care of the rest. He picked out some tux’s for me and I looked amazing at the weddings."

"This man is the biggest NIGHTMARE! Run run run away, do yourself a favor. My husband is so cool and calm and he was pushed to the edge. Peter does not stop talking for a moment almost like there is something really wrong upstairs! You can’t get a word in. We spoke and text through covid, he took down all the dates ( we changed) and specifically stated to call one week prior , as he was paid in full and only needed a week. When I called he yelled and said why didn’t you call sooner. I can’t do this in a week I have another party. OMG if I could post the reminder texts you wouldn’t believe it. The liies and excuses were over the top. My poor husband and 2 groomsman running around last minute to Giblees and ordered items online, it was so stressful right down to the day before because Peter dropped the ball. Telling us he has the items ordered but can’t guarantee they would make it, so we had to go elsewhere, zero confidence in Peter! This guy actually said and I quote “ I hope you look like sh— on your wedding day just like THIS guy, and he actually sent a pic of a guy who had baggy pants on his wedding day , who must have dumped Peter too! Save yourself !!! RUN!!!!! As fast as you can !"

"Arrived during posted business hours to rent a suit for a wedding - as I walked in I was rudely told to 'get out' as the store was being prepared for a wedding party; the owner would only talk to me through the door as I stood in the parking lot. The owner seemed very reluctant to rent me anything as the destination was out of state, and he was uncomfortable with me traveling with his suit???. I was told he would follow up later in the day after checking what he had available, but there was no follow up. Ended up with a different rental all-together."

"Don't judge the service or product by the location, but you do need to make an appointment. If you want a tuxedo that looks custom tailored, this is the place to go! What you get from Peter is a top notch, one-on-one service from the first appointment to the fitting. He fitted my 6'3 tall and slender son in a stylish and well-fitted tuxedo. Peter took the time to make sure the entire suit fit and was comfortable. He even showed him "how to dress" when he put the tuxedo on the next day, from adjusting the collar, the buttons, and preventing bulk in the sleeves when putting the jacket on. My son loved working with him and learned how to properly wear a suit (or tuxedo). Thank you Peter for making Kevin look and feel like a "star" in his tuxedo!"

"Unfortunately there were a multitude of communication issues and false promises. We weren't allowed to try on our suits before taking them, and the end result was us needing to take our suits elsewhere for necessary adjustments to be ready in time for our wedding. Also when initially choosing a location to rent from, we were told that we'd be able to contact Peter anytime during the week if there were issues. He'd have our back and we wouldn't have to worry. A week before our event (after initial fittings), he told us he'd be unavailable due to his son's wedding that weekend and we would need to come in early to pick up our suits and wouldn't have time to try them on while on-site. Once we were finally able to try on our suits back home, we found out the bride's father's pants were 4 inches too short. We let Pete know and we received no response, despite us trying to contact him days in advance of our wedding. There were also other problems: the two father's suits didn't match and there were multiple sizing discrepancies for a few of the groomsmen. When I voiced my disappointment, the issues and lack of response from Pete weren't even acknowledged. There was no offer to try and make things right or to ask what could have been improved, just questions on what time the suits would be returned and ignoring my concerns. The reason for my low rating isn't solely because of the issues with the suits, but is largely because of the unprofessionalism afterwards."
