Reviews of Eleanor Slater Hospital - Regan Unit, Cranston
"Some of the staff aren’t capable of taking care of themselves. What a shame they’re taking care of other people."
"Horrible torture chamber! My best friend I grew up with is scarred for life now. Because of their mistreatment and misdiagnosis. Need whole new staff."
"The employees in this hospital, they hate the U.S. Constitution. Also, they have no respect and rude."
"I was forcefully held at Eleanor Slater by Dr. Angela Lacombe (disguise herself as Angie Lacombe now) for an evaluation and in turn forced to take the mistreated psychiatric medications which almost killed me, by overdosing me with Haldol tablets and injections, PAL -7mg, 8mg, 9mg (paliperidone), Invega, Risperdal long-acting injection, Abilify, Ativan and other psychiatric medications all at once. To have only suppressed it with Cogentin for the shakes. I had continual headaches and nose bleeds and notified the staff and nurse but Dr. Lacombe; Who only came into the unit once a week spent 45 minutes to an hour on mostly writing in the patient's chart and about 5 to 8 minutes of that time being spent "counseling" the patients and at times not even see the patients in the week due to staff meetings (meetings are more important here than patient care). How is she getting all this overtime with very little time spent on her patient's care and supervision. To only go by notes taken from nonprofessional and noncertified staff that calls themselves medical assistant with no schooling (they go to a class or course for just a week to be approved for the job). She did not take proper medical procedures to ensure my safety and well-being as a Doctor. She never conducted an investigation regarding medical history. She was very quick to prescribe medication and request court order enforcement, with no showing of evidence, just assumptions. She did not do her due diligences in which she would have found I had past Cardiac problems and would have resulted in death due to the medications she was prescribing on the sensibility of narcotics and MSG (salt). There was never a history of a past mental illness. Dr. Angela Lacombe was well aware of the side effects that the medications were causing me. She neglected all of my health issues and concerns; such as chest pain; trouble with breathing, shakes, and headaches for the effects after taking the medications. She failed to provide Responsible Professional care as her patient. I am still seriously affected by the treatment by Dr. Angela Lacombe and by the staff at Eleanor Slater Hospital. With frequent headaches. Furthermore, The staff (case worker) took many vacations with no reliable substitute case worker around to take complaints or oversee the mistreatment by staff, and nurses who were being physically abusive. There were no finds in my case of having a mental disorder then or have I ever. Lastly, Eleanor Staff members are applying for Social Security benefits for patients and taking the funds from the patients held at the hospital and accepting additional government funding, without notifying the Social Security department to stop payment. But instead collecting the funds and depositing it GOD knows where (Eleanor Slater Hospital assigned themselves as the payees to be the beneficiary of the patient's funds so that the staff can collect the money and spending it on items that the hospital should be PROVIDING. When it is supposed to be returned back to Social Security). Lastly, Dr. Lacombe is conducting clinically trials on patients without their knowledgement and consent. The Doctor is prescribing harmful medications that can effect your long term mental health. She is getting paid to tryout medicine on his patients. BE VERY CAREFUL....! Rhode Island, has been misleading their patients by giving them trial medicine. Check out the FDA hotline at 1800-FDA-1088. Make sure you are calling the correct number there are false advertising FDA telephone numbers."
