"Two years ago this summer I decided to have raised beds designed and planted by Scott at Wymans. He designed the beds and planted a combination of flowering and green bushes. One of the plants never survived. He also did plantings in a garden area in my back yard. Scott came out and pruned the plantings in the front a year ago. He said at that time he could come out in the spring to prune. I've emailed him, called,and left messages, purchased lawn care products this summer leaving a message with a gentleman asking Scott to call me. Haven’t heard a word. Needless to say, I'm very disappoi ted."
"Bought 2 trees yesterday for delivery to Bridgewater, even gave us a decent discount as it was our first time at Wymans and he told us they had double bought Japanese maples. Cannot wait for the trees to be delivered. Phil was very knowledgeable and helpful!"
"A long time family tradition soured. Two weeks ago I purchased $80 of soil and a $20 weather station on my card. Today I returned for another $80 of soil on the same card and asked if I could return the weather station having lost the receipt. I understand return policy's, must have been the choice of words or the delivery that bothered me. The girl said we don't do that because home depot sells the same stuff...it has a wymans price tag on it. I felt too insulted to argue the point, I left with my $80 of soil and receipt felling like a criminal...our family will be taking our business elsewhere"
"Hard working staff with knowledgeable tips! I have to refute reviewer Amanda’s (two star review with long explanation) claims. I was personally there during her escapade. She told the owner she was going to sic her tiny dog (who wouldn’t stop barking) on him. She was extremely rude and made me embarrassed for her as a fellow customer. Epitome of a Karen. I thought the staff handled themselves as professionally and friendly as they could in that situation. God knows I wouldn’t have. Not only that, during her first visit she made staff wait a full hour after their closing time to make her purchase and load her vehicle. But she was still met with gracious service. Small businesses are where it’s at! Don’t believe the “too pricey” reviews. Everything is reasonably priced and there’s always a great selection!"
"Never again will my family shop here. Spent over $400 to be reprimanded by the owner for using Valpak coupons...This was all during a return process-(returning 3 plants a week after purchase within return window-during this past summer-that I ultimately didn’t have space for) I also told him I was fine with an exchange...since he stated that’s all he would offer me-after slamming my receipt down on the counter..(Not to mention I had specifically asked about return policy at time of purchase & was told anytime with receipt-This was a week later) Then proceeded to blame me for a minor mistake his employee had previously made-allowing me to use two coupons rather than one-(nothing about a limit was stated on them) he wanted to refund even less than the value of what I had originally paid AFTER subtracting the coupon values) so basically he was trying to rip me off-the whole thing was a mess..him being the owner & his attitude & tone towards me is what made it that much worse-deliberately making me feel guilty for bringing the plants back. He tried to tell me they were dried out-they were fine, I hadn’t watered them since the day prior as I wasn’t going to place them in my new truck all wet. After all the BS I told him I wanted the full refund and not an exchange as I didn’t want to purchase anything else from him. The staff were great & more than helpful whenever we shopped but the owner isn’t a very nice guy. Very poor customer service skills..the reason I’m giving 2 stars rather than one is because I understand people have bad days & how hard it is being a small biz owner during covid but as the owner, you are representing the company, the face of the company & he should know better! The customer is always right in my eyes-No excuse being a jerk to paying customers treating me in such a horrible manner...afterwards his employee made it right after he stomped off and refunded me the correct amount owed to me-which was about $100 compared to the $70 he was trying to give me. Informed my father who has shopped there before as we have a local contracting business, said he bought an entire truck full of loam & sadly had a similar experience with owners attitude problem."
