"Anne Marie in the emergency room area is unfit for her job, she was condescending from the start. What is the reason people go to the hospital? Because they’re in pain or they have an injury right? I was randomly attacked I was traumatized. I’m dealing with anxiety. I was crying while I was in the emergency room waiting to have a piercing that got embedded inside my lip taken out from getting hit in the head multiple times, which is swollen and hurt. I told her I had a head injury.I had blood coming from my ear. was hyperventilating and having panic attacks, towards the end of questioning i also mentioned i was kicked in the stomach but the pain from that was minimal i was more worried about my head, for some reason this struck a nerve with her and she questioned why I didn’t mention it, and said, remember i asked you in the beginning? In such a condescending tone, i asked her to please not have an additude as I was hurting and there to get help. I was offered nothing for the pain, just ice for the swelling. My vitals were never checked. I was in so much pain I was sweating, And only insulted from the beginning because I was crying while I was in the waiting room. she kicked me out and told me my head injury wasn't a priority, and got security who threatened to arrest me so now here I am at home with a knife trying to get a piercing out myself and icing my own head, I’m bleeding out of my ear and I’m sure have a concussion. and at this point because of their treatment. I’m feeling anxious and distressed and your hospital did nothing but make it worse, the cop turned his body cam on so I told him ok then I’m recording as well, he told me that’s fine go ahead, anne Marie tried to say I couldn’t after the officer said go ahead. I cannot believe that people in the health care industry do not have compassion. I wasn’t screaming at anyone I was hyperventilating and panicking. How dare you treat someone like that! I needed help and you failed to do your jobs!"
"Baystate medical used to be the worst hospital to go to now Mercy Hospital holds that nurses make you feel like u are bothering them if u ask a question AND THE DOCTORS TAKE SO LONG TO SEE 1 PATIENT!!!!! WHY IS IT THAT WING MEMORIAL IN PALMER NURSES ARE POLITE And the doctors take about a half hour with each patient getting to the gist of the situation and moving it on Level of care is so much better even though so little time Mercy. Shame on you we must do better."
"Staff was rude as heck (asked for directions to get to OB/Cancer unit and three nurses told me "no" just straight out) OB doctor there is really cool and understanding. However, the hospital will accept insurance and payments for appointments/consults even though they know they do not morally allow the requested service. I went to Mercy because my insurance (WellSense, formally BMC) is accepted there and Baystate wasn't taking me. I need my tubes removed as I am a two time kidney transplant recipient and I can not risk pregnancy whatsoever do to complications to my kidney, the fetus if one were to develop, and my overall life because of my medicines (specifically Myfortic, look it up it's a terrifying read.) Mercy does not provide this form of treatment because of their religious ideology, but they were more than happy to charge my insurance for the consult just to have my come in to be denied. OB I consulted with felt awful and really wanted to help me, but they could not because of the hospital's faith. If you're insurance locked like me, good luck. There is no god here."
"From the moment Mom walked into the ER, she was treated kindly and professionally. From tests through procedures, all was explained to her and doctors also called me (out of state). She felt less confused and more confident than she did at her last 2 hospital admissions in the past year. After discharge, we received prompt calls from pathology and also for a follow up visit. Staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and caring. She was seen by student as well as staff nurses, and she said that head of hospital stopped by to see how she was doing. Overall, an excellent outcome for a 5 day hospital stay with multiple procedures and surgery."
"Don't bother going to the ER. I arrived at 4:30PM..... still sitting in a very cold waiting area and it's 11:30PM..... still have not seen a doctor and there are 3 patients ahead of me. I should just leave. DON'T USE THIS ER. Ridiculous. Don't walk.... RUN from this hospital and God will be with you in His mercy."
