"Do not sign up to bank with this credit union. Every time an automatic payment tries to take the payment and you don’t have enough cash they just charge you $30 but don’t cover the payment you’re just $30 negative in the account more than you were before you didn’t have money to cover the bill. How was that helpful? When I complained, they offered me alone through the credit union. They’re only about making money for themselves!! Beware"

"I've been banking with AFCU since before they changed their name. The service is second to none. I have savings and checking accounts, High Yield youth accounts. I have refinanced with them and also gone to them for personal loans. Not only can I text them during business hours with my questions and they get right back to me, but Kaelin is my go to for all my banking needs. I can't recommend the staff here enough!! I'd also like to point out that most of their negative reviews involve a different location outside of the State of Maine."
