"DO NOT USE THIS BANK FOR A LOAN OF ANY KIND. EDIT TO ADD: I just wanted to update this a few years later to say that my car that this loan was under was totaled (I was not at fault) and Geico paid out my loan, and it was the best thing that could’ve ever happened to me because it got me away from this disgustingly predatory loan company. I am SO HAPPY to be away from this bank!! I stand by everything I said when I wrote this. This is the most incompetent group I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I had to mail two of my payments after moving across the country due to COVID. With the mail delay, the bank did not receive my November or December payments until now, the end of January. I wasn’t notified of this until the beginning of January. In December my co-signer (not me) got a call asking that we call into the bank, and when I called in, moments later, the customer service representative said that they had “no idea why I was being called and my account looked great”. And considering I had mailed my payments already, I thought I was all set. Fast forward to now, I’ve been speaking with their collections department, which flabbergasts me in itself. As someone who’s made their payments early and over the required amount since I purchased my vehicle, I can’t believe they failed to notify me until January of this issue. I’ve set up online banking, at their request, and now it doesn’t work at all. I’ve called customer service, who sent me a temporary password that also doesn’t work, and it’s been two days since I’ve emailed members services with no response. They’re also expecting me to pay my loan back online, how I have no idea since no ones gotten back to me. When in contact with their collections department, I notified them of the issue and wanted to know how to fix my online banking issue. I got the response “We finally got your payments!!” With no regard to my online banking issue, this is the second email I’ve sent, and I’ve also called in twice which I’ve stated is very difficult for me to do with the time difference and regular work schedule. I’ve been working in banking for two years and I can’t understand how this business operates. It’s absolutely disgusting to put someone that pays their loan on time through this, especially in the middle of having to move across the country with my family due to covid. I regret wholeheartedly choosing this bank for my loan, and I hope I can prevent someone out there from making the same mistake. They DO NOT care about you !"

"Horrible Customer service. If you have a problem with your card their customer service is not open on Weekends or Holidays. Not very smart for a bank that locks it down "for your protection" especially when its a business account. Now I don't have access to my business bank account for 2 days. I will changing banks on Tuesday when the banks open"

It's disheartening to feel like a burden rather than a valued customer when interacting with the employees. Prioritizing Profits Over Customers: It's evident that this credit union prioritizes its financial gains over the financial well-being of its customers. I believe that financial institutions should place a strong emphasis on their customers' needs and comfort, which sadly seems to be a low priority at Greenwood Credit Union. If you're seeking a banking experience that values efficient service, kindness, and customer satisfaction, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This credit union needs a significant overhaul in its approach to customer service and financial transparency."

"***UPDATE*** My account has since been paid off for about 2-3 years now. Never once missed a payment. Always paid on time and extra towards the principle balance. A few days ago I went to check my credit score only to find out my scores had dropped off significantly! After doing some digging, I find that Greenwood Credit Union has been marking my payments late? My credit report now shows my account is 180 days late even though the loan has been paid off for years now! Unreal. Do NOT do any business with this bank. I purchased a car through a dealer, financed through this company. Not realizing what I was getting myself into, they had a low interest rate so I went with them. I have been trying to set up automatic bill payments for over a month now. The website says my information is invalid and when I try to call no one picks up the phone. When finally speaking with someone over the phone they were very rude and ended up telling me that I couldn’t set up automatic payments over the phone and they couldn’t help me. At this point my bill is due today and I can’t even call the office to make the payment because they won’t answer. This is my first big loan as young adult and I’m finally starting to get credit established and now I have to worry about my score being compromised due to a negligent credit union. I cannot wait until I can refinance this loan because this branch is awful to work with. Very unprofessional, very unhelpful."
