"This airline has left me stranded in Boston on more that one occasion, due to pilots “timing out with no replacements scheduled”. It’s a 50/50 shot of getting to your destination, and 20/80 shot of getting there on time. Cape Air should invest in a computer program to schedule pilots."
"Complete incompetence today on Cape Air’s part made me miss my flight. The ticketing counter was unstaffed for the 1.5 hrs prior to a flight out of JFK, so I couldn’t check in. Called several times leading up to the flight and nobody at Cape Air had a clue what was going on and told me to just keep waiting. This isn’t the first time I’ve had difficulty with them and it seems others do too. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that they have a competitive incentive to do better. I’d absolutely avoid this airline!"
"I don't often leave negative reviews, but I find myself 6 months after Cape Air cancelled my flight without notifying any passengers, then the next day delayed my flight again, leaving my baggage in the pouring rain, before finally cancelling my flight and returning my bags with a water-damaged laptop. Since then I have called 3 times, and sent over 8 emails including documentation of the damage and repair cost. Nevermind that I traveled to the airport three times over two days and was still unable to fly; 6 months later I have yet to receive any compensation for my damaged property. Avoid Cape Air at all costs, anywhere they fly would be better served by renting a car."
"You have a better chance at winning the lotto than getting a successful flight. They make the TSA look competent, if that says anything. I now drive 90 minutes to the Cedar Rapids airport rather than 15 minutes to this one because at least I know Cedar Rapids functions like a normal airport would. If this is all it takes to run an airline, I will probably open one soon because why not. All this being said, the pilots themselves were pretty cool and I enjoyed the actual flight itself - but good luck actually making it into the plane."
"You have to check in for flights *in person* only which is a huge problem if you're transferring from another flight. I got right off one plane, went to the Cape Air gate a little less than an hour before the flight time and well before boarding time and was told I couldn't get on until the next flight which is 4 hours later. It's currently still over ten minutes before boarding time. I now have to cancel on a booking of a performance, which is the only reason I'm taking this airline to begin with. This hurts me both financially and professionally and I am absolutely fuming. I should have flown into Burlington instead. Avoid this airline."
