"Rude, inefficient, irresponsible, disrespectful, and inconsiderate business. It took multiple unanswered phone calls and text messages for the item to finally be picked up; it took over a month, to be more specific. They were contracted by the furniture company we did business with. Phone calls were never answered, and the text messages were incomplete responses with no customer service. They rescheduled the item pick up multiple times, including canceling pick-up 2 hours before the rescheduled pick up time - they did not care that we had to take time off work to accommodate this pickup time window, and they did not even offer an apology or explanation as to why. When they finally picked up the item, the driver showed up with a minor to help him pack the item, did not speak to us, and left the apartment door wide open without letting us he was done on his way out. I should add that he pointed to a form and a pen, non-verbally asking us to sign the document. Furthermore, he seemed annoyed that we wanted to read the form we needed to sign before signing it. These are merely examples of the type of business you will be engaging with if you chose to do business with them."
"I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Baystate Express if you’re looking for an experienced, reliable company to ship your valuable antiques. I hired them to ship a dining table for NYC to Beverly Hills, CA and the service was top notch. Good communication, and my table arrived in excellent condition. It was very well wrapped and the crew did a great job unloading and setting it up. Thanks Again"
"Be forewarned, you're taking a huge risk if you use Baystate Express. The owner was super communicative until I accepted his bid and my credit card was charged. Then, radio silence. He never answered my calls, and did not show up or call on the pickup date we agreed on. The next day, his phone was disconnected when. I ended up cancelling the shipment through the third party website I used. Then he started sending me a series of angry texts claiming I needed to pay him a cancellation fee. This is a borderline scam."
"John and Baystate worked great for us. We've had some horrible experiences with movers, this year so when we ordered a couple of chairs from Charish and didn't hear anything for a couple months we just figured they were another scam. No such thing!! John got his truck through the worst snow store in Olympia in many years (...and I'm originally a New Englander, it was a pretty serious storm, even by N.H. standards) and dropped those chairs right on our doorstep. Only 4 stars because communication could have been better. But getting those chairs here, pretty close to on schedule, through that weather is an *easy* 4. Thanks John!"
"Do not deal with Baystate Express! I had the unfortunate experience of having my piano moved by them and damaged during transit by John Harden. He took responsibility for it when I pointed it out during delivery, and we’ve been emailing back and forth for 4 months trying to get an insurance claim. I got two local quotes to get the repairs done but they only offered to cover half of it through Baystate’s insurance. I didn’t agree with it at first but gave up on trying to get full compensation after waiting 2 months, so I accepted their insurance settlement. However, after confirming my address twice through Howard at BayState Express, they said they sent the check twice, I still have not received any payment. They won’t respond to emails or calls, and I have left multiple VMs. They won’t even confirm with a tracking number that they’ve sent the check. At this point I told them I would follow up with an insurance fraud complaint and they have not done anything. I would give them the benefit of the doubt but they take forever to respond to emails or pick up calls. They won’t confirm with a tracking number they’ve sent the check. They make up excuses just to stall and waste my time. AVOID doing business with these people!"
