"Who’s responsible to price the donations? Same item different price?! It’s DONATIONS. You people are charging like it’s new, can’t even take the carts outside anymore and the other day I saw this old lady having a hard time bringing her stuff to her car. It’s a shame what this store is doing."
"THE CANADIAN REVIEWER I'm from Canada, and was visiting the area when I decided to stop by Savers as I enjoy shopping at different thrift stores. The format layout of this store is very similar to ours here in Ontario, Canada, and is just as well stocked with selections. However, I had immediately noticed that the majority of the merchandise is well overpriced in comparison to our prices here. I had also noted that prices are based of name brand and quality of the used garments. Whereas, here the fixed prices are set according to the type of garment. All jeans are $10, all t-shirts are $5, all long sleeve shirts are $9, all shorts are $5, all jackets are $15 and all household items range from $1 to $25, at most and that includes all household furnishings. Not keep in mind these are Canadian dollar based prices. As a Canadian shopping there, I'd be overpaying even moreso for used garments. This is why i give this place a Rating of Three Stars"
"Savers has become very over priced from what it used to be. 20 bucks for a heavily used hoodie? These items are used and even the ones that are obviously more used and others are still super overpriced. You go to Salvation Army and you can get a used mug for $.25 but if you go to savers you can get a used mug with coffee stains for $4.99. It doesn’t make sense .And I’ve been noticing when you find an item wiht the orginal tags on it the original tags will cost less then what the savers tag is. I’ve seen Walmart brand clothes that you can get for 5-10 bucks at Walmart being sold here for 15-20 especially the dresses. Not really thrift anymore go to Salvation Army much more affordable.."
"First, let me say the staff are very polite and helpful. That is why they get three stars instead of two. The prices for the used clothing and shoes are ridiculous. Unless you have a 40% off coupon, don’t bother shopping here (unless you prefer to pay mostly near-retail prices for used items). There is no longer a space to try on clothes before you buy them. You have to scan your own items, you have to pay if you want a bag, oh, and please remove and hang up your own hangers upon checking out. Not only are you shopping in a store where all the items they have are donated, you get to donate your labor as well! It isn’t the worst shopping experience (as I said, friendly staff) but I’m thinking I’ll take my money and time elsewhere. Savers used to be a decent thrift store, but now? Meh."
"I Purchased a microwave, a unique microwave that had buttons on it for accessibility reasons and thought OK this is great. I got what I needed went home and plugged it in and it shorted out. Didn’t cook the food so they should inspect any appliances that they put on the shelves. What savers is best for I think is for clothing I need to get some new polo shirts so I exchange the bad microwave to get the shirts a went elsewhere to get a brand new microwave."
