"Called this company and arranged for someone to come to the house the next day to clean two chairs. I was contacted by the representative and met him at my house. I saw nothing to indicate that he works for JBP Carpets Care - his truck was unmarked and had a Texas license plate. The guy was nice enough but immediately said the chairs would be triple the cost of what was quoted on the phone. I haggled with him and he knocked a bunch of money off the price by eventually saying I could pay him through Zelle. This should have set of warning alarms but I went along with it. When I asked him if he worked for the company, he muttered something about being a subcontractor. To be fair, he did the work (although the outcome was not what I had hoped as the chairs are still dirty) but I have no confidence that JBP Carpets is a legitimate business. I saw all the 5-star reviews which is why I reached out to the company in the first place but I have no idea if they are a legitimate business. If you go on Google Maps to their address and look at street view, you won't see a storefront anywhere - just an auto parts store and Staples."
