"There I was, in my golden hour of needing a fresh cut that needed to be sharp, clean and fresh for my PA school interview. I went to the same barber I had been for years thinking that today was going to be that I'll get the most dapper haircut in my life. WRONG. The barber I had been going to has exponentially expanded and has massively increased popularity beyond their capacity to handle the growth. They have hired new barbers, to accommodate the sometimes 45+ wait times. Unfortunately, the new hires have been something to desire and in my time of need, I learned that the hard way. My hair was jagged, uneven, poorly faded and even clumps of hair left untouched, aka not interview worthy unless I wanted them to think I did it myself. In a panic, and for not wanting to sit through another hr of waiting while staring at the guy who butchered my hair I stumbled across the Lafayette barber shop. In this two chair, musical throwback, iconic and classic shop I felt at ease. The owner (whose name escapes me now) was receptive and performed damage control on mt head and salvaged the hack job. From the authentic neck shave and hot towel amongst the pleasant atmosphere and conversation I'm affirmed that I found my new barber shop. And on a side note, I got accepted!"
