"First of all, I actually give this place 5 stars. They are all nice and have been here 3x. I mean no disrespect to any person and their skillset and I understand each barber have different skillsets and have different approach. But my bad experience only came from Ray and while enjoyed talking to Ray and he is a rare veteran of barbers that started their career back in the 60s, I believe Ray's skillset are unique to simpler and basic haircuts. Ray is not skilled in "modern" haircuts. I'm talking low skin fade, tight sides, long on top. There was a woman there who I believe is the owner and I do wish she made a decision she cut my hair instead of asking Ray to cut mine as she has better experience from what I've seen. I respect Ray and this shop and I love that they give Ray opportunities to cut hair. But this is also my fault as I didn't Want to be rude and say no and have another barber cut mine. In the end, I asked for a touch up but I came out at that shop literally looking the same when I came in. I'll come back here again but I highly advise not to have Ray cut your hair if your style asks for a modern haircut. I read previous reviews about Ray and others have made their comments. But I respect him but I feel as a customer and getting your cut, you have the idea you'll great coming out, but you come out with completely something different - or worse. And I'm not sure how I feel. I recommend asking patrons to seeing what kind of cut they want and determine if that resonates with Ray or go with another barber instead. I cut my own hair and have general knowledge of each process and I can see Ray struggles with even a low skin fade. I asked to have the foil shaver be used to touch up the fade. He nodded and forgot... I left very sad."

"Love this place, I really do, however, I don’t wanna be that guy, but I’ve had two subpar haircuts from Ray. The first one wasn’t as bad, second one I had to go get it touched up at another place. I feel nervous walking in and seeing he’s the only free barber. On a more positive note the other ladies are 10/10, never had a bad cut from either of them"

"The 3 ladies in this shop are great, the old guy is awful. You cant even compare the quality his is so bad. If you see his chair empty its empty for a reason. Youre better to wait for one of the ladies to free up."

"Went to this barbershop on a walk-in from a recommendation from a coworker and really enjoyed the experience. Quaint atmosphere and the staff was so nice! Susan was a great barber and offered lovely conversation and even gave me advice on where to get heating oil. Price was great too! Will definitely be returning!"
