"On Christmas I morning went to the Rusty Lantern in Watervile to cash in my winning scratch tickets that I had recieved as a gift the night before. I had no more than 15 tickets, totaling 200 dollars. I understand that no one loves working on Christmas and no cashier is super excited about scanning tickets but when I went into the store there were no other customers. The back of the ticket says you can cash in anything less than 599 dollars at any participating agency, so I didn't think this would be a problem. The cashier rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath before starting to scan my tickets. At that point another customer walked in and she called to her coworker in the kitchen to help on the register. The coworker refused, stating she was making a pizza. They argued as more customers walked in, and I began to feel extremely uncomfortable. Had the cashier asked to let other people go before me, I would have gladly stepped aside. Instead, she continued to argue with her coworker and complain about needing to scan a stack of lottery tickets. She called someone on the phone, I think to ask for help, but was still complaining about needing to scan a pile of scratch tickets. By now I felt very embarrassed, and like I had done something wrong. AFTER scanning my tickets the cashier loudly announced she didn't think she could cash them, it depended on whether or not she had the cash in her drawer. Then she threw a handful of crumpled bills at me, and said sarcasticly " I'm going to get reamed out tomorrow for this, but here MERRY CHRSTMAS". There should be a sign somewhere stating the maximum amount your allowed to cash if this store isn't able to honor what the Maine state lottery tickets states. I should not be made to feel responsible for a cashier getting in trouble for a random rule I did not know the store had. I shouldn't be treated like a major inconvenience because 3 people walk into a store behind me and one worker refused to help. This is far from the first bad experience I've had at this store. Nearly every time I go here the cashiers are rude and treat you like you are a problem. I only go here because its nearby and I keep thinking that maybe it was just a bad day. I'm done giving it another try and will not go to this store again."
"Cashiers are super rude and the manager is always playing on his phone and ignoring customers...there were people cashing in lotto tickets in front of me and the girl running the tickets through the machine was extremely rude to them because she was irritated about having to scan tickets...i also had tickets and left and went to another store to cash them in and will NOT be back"
"I ordered a small BBQ chicken Pizza and waffle fries at your Waterville location November 12th at 1:45 pm. they told me it would be 15 minutes. I arrived to the store at 2pm with my fries ready but they said the pizza was just now going in and would be 10 minutes. which i said that's fine and say down. i waited 20 minutes (and during this wait multiple workers left the store and took a smoke break) a worker named Neshel asked me what I was waiting for and I told her the small BBQ pizza for Reggie. she informed me nobody made it and now I have to wait another 15 minutes. absolutely ridiculous and completely uncalled for. I will not be returning for food or gas even though I work right next to the Waterville location. This store's saving grace is a woman named Neshel not sure how to spell it. but, she immediately jumped into action and assisted me even though she was the only one behind the counter while the others were smoking. great work on her part."
"Busy place which is great to see. The sad part is I really wish they would train employees to either wash their hands between taking money and making sandwiches or gloves, something. Where’s the money been, we don’t know. Common courtesy folks and while we’re right on courtesy how about a thank you instead of slap the sandwich down in hopes you may be brave enough to eat it made with dirty hands"
"So I tried their pizza for the first time. I asked for loaded because I had a coupon. Whoa!! Sooo much meat and veggies! Very delicious pizza. I may try a sub next trip."
