Reviews of Goldstein Open Space
"Goldstein Open Space dog park is an absolute gem! This park offers a wonderful sanctuary for furry friends to frolic and socialize. The expansive, well-maintained grounds provide ample space for dogs to run freely, with separate areas for small and large breeds ensuring safety and comfort for all. The thoughtful amenities such as water stations, agility equipment, and shaded seating areas make it an ideal spot for both dogs and their owners. The park's serene atmosphere and friendly community create a delightful experience every visit. Kudos to the Goldstein Open Space for being a haven where dogs can truly be themselves! We live in Florida but frequently fly out to NY with our 105lb service dog, and then drive up to Boston for the weekend. We have now “found” this gem 2 times, and now we have it bookmarked for all our future drives past. Highly recommend! ONE NOTE: THEY DO NOT HAVE WATER, BRING YOUR OWN. THERE ARE USUALLY BOWLS AROUND."
"Came here with my fixed puppy 3 years ago. The small dog area was not maintained at all. There was also no clear way to access that area. Out of the 2 times we went there, we were forced to go to the big dog area, since nobody ever brought their small dogs in the small area, and we really needed our dog to interact with other dogs. The 2nd time we went there, a dangerous big dog breed was brought in. We should've noticed red flags when a few people started leaving the park with their dogs. Thaf dog then bit my puppy's foot while we were trying to lift him up away from him. And the dog just kept jumping up at him after biting. The owner was at the other end of the park WALKING over to stop his dog. And then he proceeded to tell us small dogs belong in the small dog area, like we didn't even consider that option. Obviously this park is only for aggressive big dogs. We never came back."
"This dog park is amazing. There is so much room to let your dog get exercise. There are a ton of obstacles."
"Absolutely love this park and, more importantly, so does my dog! He can roam here freely and happily. You can walk two paths; the trail in the woods, or the main path. Because it's smaller, we usually walk the trail and the main path. There has never been a bad encounter here. When I was dog walking, I brought my dogs here, and they loved to play in the fenced in play pens with other dogs. Convenient because there are two, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. If you cross the street at the end of this park, there's another beautiful park you can walk in. Easily one of our favorite parks and we visit frequently."
"Great space for dogs, with plenty of room to run, train, and socialize with other dogs. Water supply inside the park, trash cans, grass, trees, rocks to climb, and plenty of places for people to sit in the shade. Also, the community of other dog owners is wonderful here. As a whole they were very welcoming to our new puppy. The more he grows, the more he feels a part of the regular pack there, and it is great to watch it happen."
