"Beautiful quiet little loop (I think maybe it's a mile?) near the ocean, mostly flat, lots of birds and trees and ponds and nature to peep at. When we went, in early April, it was almost entirely empty. Can't imagine that would be the case in the Summer, but it's worth going at any time of year, I'd reckon."
"The trail from the Marconi SITE parking lot (which is free, as opposed to the Marconi BEACH area which is not during the season) leads you to an enchanting boardwalk trail through the swamp. It's enjoyable for both kids and adults. Reminds me of the Fire Swamp (see The Princess Bride) minus the ROUS's. The marked trail down is hard pack with lots of steps and tree roots, and goes up & down a bit. As an alternative you can take the straight, wide and fairly constant graded trail which is mostly packed sand with tree roots and a few steps. This is the route you'd come back up on anyway. This trail is just a few yards in from the parking lot and branches to the right. A third option is to park at the Rail Trail on Le Count Hollow Rd and walk 1/4 mile to Wireless Road, which will take you to the boardwalk trail without significant elevation change."
"An amazing hike! Don't miss out on this gem! We went on a cloudy day that somehow made the trail even more eerie, mysterious, and moody in a good way. The changing autumn leaves also added another layer of mystical beauty. There were so many different types of mushrooms along the way. Be on the lookout high and low since we were told a rare blue colored mushroom supposedly grows in this area! The last one found growing around 40 to 60 feet in a tree! It was a very easy hike with only a few minor steps and inclines. Do yourself a favor and hike this trail."
"From the Marconi Wireless Station parking lot is the trailhead for White Cedar Swamp Trail. This is a great two mile easy walk (with a few hills). There is also a Fire Road that crosses the trail which you can walk on to extend your hike to Lecount Hollow Road.. A few other smaller trails lead off the Fire Road. You can get to an area where people walk down the dunes to the beach (steep and not official). A great day hiking in the Cedar forest and along the beach. Parking is limited to about 30 cars. A bathroom is available just off the parking lot."
"Easy family friendly trail. Theres a bathroom house and picnic tables near the entrance to the trail. The start of the trail is a ~7min walk over pine needle and packed sand path. When you reach the swamp there's a nice boardwalk through the swamp. It was very quiet and peaceful. We felt like we were in a very unique place. A few sections have downed trees leaning across the walkway so you will need to duck under them. I wouldn't walk this trail on a very windy day; I fear some downed trees are very close to falling across the boardwalk."
