"When a college sends someone to spam your email THREE times about joining seems to me then its not worth singing up for. Got emailed by someone from their staff three times harassing me to join when i had previously shown zero interest but apparently just because she saw my profile on a website. She emails me not once, not twice, but three times begging for a response. While apparently it "may" not be a horrible college i have zero interest in joining and no where near in the area either. So yeah One star here for spamming people 3 times. IF it turns out that person was not legit ill change this review but chances are it seems to be. Enjoy."

"DONT COME HERE!! This college doesn't even deserve the title of college it's more of a high school. They treat everyone like there little kids with curfews. If you live in another building ON CAMPUS and decide to go to your friends room on a weekday they have to sign you in on an overnight guest list if you stay passed 12 am, even though you live in a building right next door. Also this applies to weekends which you have to be signed in at 2 am. If your an in coming freshman make sure your manly friends with people in your building so you'll have no worries. Also saint Ann's is the strictest building, they have bathroom checks constantly and if your just the slightest bit loud you'll get in trouble. Saint Anns is basically the advertising building which is kept in tip top shape for all you in coming. Also at Emmanual your not guaranteed housing as underclassmen cause of the recent increase in acceptance there's not enough room. It's very backwards cause seniors have priority over everyone when it comes to housing selection which shouldn't be the case. Also don't come here if your not a science major. There's no building of business or English only Wilkins science center."

"I graduated from Emmanuel College in 1982, so it has been some years. However, I recently visited the campus with a niece who is exploring Boston-area schools, and my impressions were the very same as when I first explored Emmanuel in 1978. The college is exceptional. I can think of no other that offers so much for such an economical investment. Geographically, you are immersed in America's favorite college town -- Boston. And by immersed, I mean you can hear the Fenway Park organ, walk mear blocks to Kenmore Square, and take up an internship at a Harvard-associated institution just next door (I did!). You have that gorgeous gothic architecture with ivy clinging to brick that captures the ideal image many have of a college, but at the same time, students are welcoming, authentic, and as interested in your achievement as you are. What has changed about Emmanuel, besides enrolling men (a wise step forward), is that, due to smart business decisions made by its president, Janet Eisner, S.N.D., the school is now an impressive state-of-the-art academic facility. But even as I marveled at the beautiful learning environments, I felt the same pang if belonging I felt decades ago... this is a school that cares about its students and encourages them to grow and move among areas of study until they've found the one that's just right. And it's a fun place to be for four years. If I could only go back for another round, I would."

"I transfered to Emmanuel from Marymount Manhattan College in 2004. I couldn't have made a better choice. The psychology department was great, and is even better now that they have a neuroscience specialization and more emphasis on student research. The professors were easy to contact, interesting, motivating, and were practicing in the field. I made lifelong friends at Emmanuel, and found it easy to fit in. The dorms were clean, and despite complaining about the cafeteria at the time, now I miss it. I cannot find a crepe as great as Francisco's! I prefer the small atmosphere and am proud that the president of the college is a nun. Did I also say the location is perfect? We would walk to the Back Bay almost every weekend, and it was easy to walk to parties at NEU and WIT. Might I add, although the school does have less rigorous admissions standards than schools like BC and BU, I felt the academics were fabulous. I worked my butt off, studied hard for every exam, and wrote papers early so I wouldn't be procrastinating. I have never felt so motivated and organized since leaving EC. Just like any other college, this school is what you make of it and the friends you surround yourself with. However, I felt it was pretty easy to be motivated and find great friends at this school (especially compared to MMC). I knew people who transferred out of EC and then came back the following year because they realized no school is perfect."
