"amazingly clear and warm. nice place to swim!"
"Nice state park approximately halfway up the Cape. Flora on the Cape is typically pretty distinctive, but not so much here. I could have forgotten I was on the Cape when I was wandering the trails if it wasn’t for the sandy gravel. For the most part it looks like a run of the mill walk through some Massachusetts woods. There is not a ton of signage, and the trails aren’t marked well, although there is a really nice, clear lake here and it seems like swimming is allowed. The best part, though, is the lack of crowds, especially compared to nearby Nickerson. Nothing special, in my opinion, but a great place to take quiet walk nonetheless."
"Great wooded path with swimming pond and soft sand, and overlooks to several other ponds. A little buggy, and lots of horse droppings but very secluded and not populated so perfect for off leash dog hikes."
"The little spots to swim we found had people there already, but looked fun! (quite small, one group of people would be a crowd) looked beautiful! Had a long hike, but most of trails we explored were backed up to people's property, and would dead end into Private Property, so we'd have to back track the way we came. Lots of nature, but not much wildlife. It was fun to get turned around and find our way out, as we just enjoy the hike! Would be nice to hike some different directions as I'm sure each way is a totally different experience (based on the photos in seeing here) road is ROUGH coming in and out."
"Absolutely beautiful. So quiet and serene. It's a rough drive in and out, but those trails are totally worth it!"
