Reviews of Lone Tree Camp & Cabins Rustic Campground
"I went here late spring. The grounds weren't cleaned up yet of the leaves. I kept slipping and falling on the wet leaves even as I tried to clear my own site. It's kind of a complaint but I chalked it up to it being still early in the season. I did sprain my thumb on the last fall. Had to leave early the next day . The owner is a super nice guy and working hard to make it a really good place. I'm stay again and redo a review next season. What was nice is I had the place to myself. Try it out it's quiet and quaint."
"This place is amazing! A hidden gem! Eric was great to us (from showing us around and helping us start a campfire!)and we had a wonderful time! We will be back very soon for more adventures- highly recommend!"
"We rented 4 cabins in August for 6 branches of our family. We had a really great time. The new owner, Eric, has taken on a huge project to fix up this old boy scout camp. It is going to take some time for sure. In talking to him you can tell that he has a passion for it and just needs the customers to continue supporting the efforts. The lake and boats, kayaks, paddle boat, canoe, etc were all fantastic. The recreation cabin is full of games and a billiard table. There is a field for playing baseball or any other sport for that matter. We saw a basketball court on our way out that we didn't know about. The cabins were comfortable. It even rained one entire day and we all gather inside our biggest cabin to play games and talk. If there was a downside it was the fact that we were a bit unprepared for meal times. The kitchen in our big cabin had a sink and a fridge/freezer and microwave. cooking was done over the open fire outside. there were no plates, cups or silverware.........which is fine once we ran out to the store and bought some stuff. If we had known, then we would have brought our camping box from home. Truth be told a relative made all the arrangements for the entire family. I highly recommend this camp site. There were places for tents and RVs besides the cabins. I only suggest that you ask detailed descriptions of the place that you are going to rent and come prepared. Eric was very friendly and helpful. He even sat with us one afternoon and told us of his dreams for the place. Go. Have fun. Bring bug spray!!!"
"Can I give more than 5 stars? This is an awesome campground! Eric is wonderful and takes pride in making sure everyone enjoys their stay. The campsites are clean and have a fire ring and picnic table, and the beach is so nice! The lake is gorgeous, there's an uninhabited island you can paddle around that's not too big for beginners at canoeing. Stargazing at night on such quiet waters was magical! There's drinking water available at the campground which is a major plus. There's also a building with couches and a pool table to socialize in if you get rained on. All of the buildings and restrooms were clean and well stocked. We will definitely be going back!"
"We came here for a weekend get away and we left very relaxed and happy. We had the perfect camp spot right next to the lake, the workers there were very nice, chill and welcoming. The camp site is a great distance from some great restaurants, walmart, and gas stations. I would 10/10 recommend this camp site to everyone. Truly a great location."
