Reviews of Attleboro Dog Park
"My dog & I have been mini adventuring locally & I decided to try this place out. Not only was everyone wicked welcoming, but the amenities were unexpected. It was beyond clean, had poop bags, plenty of barrels for disposal, equipment for the dogs to play on (in both the big & small dog areas)....even a shed with water, hand sanitizer, etc. It really makes a big difference & certainly won't be our last time here!"
"First time I went there a woman (w/o a dog, mind you, but who presented herself as some kind of monitor) asked me for my 6 pound puppy’s rabies certificate. It had just rained and I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THERE but was told I could not stay w/o the certificate. Another person told me a woman there (probably the same woman) called the police on him for a doggie park rules violation. The last time time I was there, most likely the same pompous “rude old man” mentioned in a another review, hassled me about a rules violation. Again, I was one of only two people in the small dog area and although he was on the big dog side he felt compelled to come over and complain. In summary, it’s a small, unkempt, and unfriendly (unless you are in the clique) place in my opinion. On the other hand, the North Attleboro (Plain Street), Pawtucket (Slater Park, not Vets Park) and Woonsocket all have very nice parks for small dogs with very friendly, welcoming patrons overall."
"Not the cleanest park. No treats allowed. Easy access and a lot of places to sit and watch your pup. Update: will never go back to this park. Very dirty and the few people ruin it for everyone. We basically got kicked out because their dog "might not be friendly". (From people there not management)This park has no management or anyone cleaning it anyways."
"I went there for the first time, there was a rude old man demanding I don't throw a ball to my dog because I suppose I entered the only dog park that bans balls. I said thank you and went about my business. He kept trying to give me a flyer I think he spent his own money on printing with the rules, I said thank you even after I refused but he kept trying to hand it to me. I've been to a dozen parks in the surrounding area and have never encountered anyone who is willing to harass a patron of a public park. I hope the city knows they have an unsolicited enforcer. Will not return.i can see why nobody else came..."
"So far so good. First visit. Many visits now. Good things to say about other visitors. We look forward to meeting more dogs as weather improves. Visitors understand its ok if you have to put your dog on a leash. Or end on good note and leave if their dog is dominant over other dogs that aren't submissive."
