Reviews of DNRT Star of the Sea Reserve
"Easy trails Lots of leaveless oaks and birch in February but you still get the feel of being embraced by nature. Lots of pools and streams. Great saltmarsh view on a side trail. Can’t wait to go again in lush summer months."
"This was one of my favorite hikes recently because it was just so dern beautiful. The trail we went on wasn't too long, but we were reluctant to go on the trails that went through woods where hunting was permitted because we were not wearing bright clothing, and I had my dog. But the marsh are was just so pretty. I enjoyed it."
"This hidden gem, tucked away on the star of the sea drive has an amazing view of the water. After a rainstorm it's flowing with water and muddy in various spots. I plan a return another day when the trail is dry. Overall I highly recommend visiting, but beware, coyotes are active and this reserve is open to hunting during hunting season, be sure to wear bright orange."
"It's pretty to drive through but don't take the little trail there. It was hard to find, I drove past it twice. No signs to tell you where to go and the "trail" was nothing but mud. I walked along and I saw what I thought was dog tracks in the mud. It took me a while to realize that there wasn't a single human track and that they were coyote prints. Nothing has been walking on those trails except deer and coyotes."
