"An amazing state park with an extensive trail system. You can park at the base of Pack Monadnock and hike to the summit, or drive up the auto road. The summit offers views of Monadnock proper, Wapack Monadnock, and a view of Boston (if your eyesight or binoculars/camera is up to the task). There's also a watch tower that offers an even more elevated view of the surroundings. Make sure to book ahead, as it can be quite busy depending on the day and weather."
"Very nice place to visit. We'll maintained. Lots of information before the hike and also a guide on the trails. (Blue for the easy one about 1.4 miles and Red or Yellow is the hard one like 1.8 miles). I believe you'll pay $4 per adult till 5pm I think and then there's an honor system (envelope) after. There's also a road if you don't want to do the hike to head to the top."
"Great state park with picnic areas and several trails leading to the peak of Pack Monadnock. Happened to be there on a day a storm was rolling in but the views were still beautiful. Weekdays are nice and quiet, and the park employees are super friendly and helpful. Public restrooms were available too, a big plus! There is also a lookout tower providing even better views of the surrounding area, Mt. Washington and Boston."
"It has been forever since we have been to the top of Pack Monadnock. We were greeted by a wonderful gatekeeper to Miller State Park who politely asked for us to come down by 5. It was 315 or so and had plenty of time for our picnic! We found an amazing rock hut with a picnic table. We ate and then explored the trails a bit and took a ton of pictures. Asked if we could go UP the tower. We were, so we did !!!! The wind was both amazing and scary !!! There are MANY nooks and cranies to tuck away in with a picnic table & view !!!!"
"This is a nice spot to visit for hikers, nature lovers and leaf peepers. Good hiking trails to the summit but you can also drive to the summit on a well maintained auto Road. For $4 a person you can drive your car up to the top, which is not so worth ( since the views are obstructed by large trees) This auto road is narrow and steep with minimal shoulder on either side and caution is advised as some hikers walk the roadway instead of the trails and paths. Summit has a small tower that allows views as far as Boston, or the White Mountains on a clear day. Parking at the top was very limited but we found a stop. Nice place to spend a couple of hours on a good weather day."
