"I used to go here all the time. Now the parking attendants don't let people in the lot, even if there are spaces. Not worth going if I have to put up with that. It worked fine when no one was controlling access. Don't waste your time."
"Great beach, water doesn't get a lot of waves from boats. Clean bathrooms on premises. You cannot bring rafts or toys in the water. There are lifeguards on duty. It costs to park. Beautiful water, beach, views. Worth the drive."

"Beautiful swimming! Need a state park pass or day pass to park (costs money). Excellent restroom and picnic facilities. Note: the beach itself is NOT at all shaded - bring sunscreen and an umbrella. Also, there is no cell service in the area, so keep this in mind!"
"Looks like a very nice place to beat the heat in the summertime. It's out in the middle of nowhere. That's the best part. Also the parking lot Trail Heads the balance of the Wildlife Refuge that can be used like any other State Park. On my list to take in when I am close by for some time."
