"An experience like no other! Out of all the abandoned railroads in New England, this is probably the most interesting stretch. There are several bridges, some abandoned, some still in use, as well as an abandoned artist's colony, quarry, waterfall and an old car if you know where to look..."
"I like this hiking area, ther is 2 parking lots. First one is close to the road and the second is when you enter the first parking and follow the road for about 600 feet on the left. Arches bridge is butterfly, not to fare away from second parking lot. Hiking path next to the river is very good with som nice access and view to the river."
"WOW that's all I can say. It was such an amazing experience to hike here - there was ample parking at the road and I was able to enjoy a full day hiking the trails and exploring this area. It was completely worth the drive out here and the trails were not difficult at all. The scenery you witness - gorges, bridges, waterfalls, rivers, woodland - is truly incredible."
"What a great hike! Go all the way to the last bridge to complete the route - it’s worth it! Well maintained trail with lots of historic spots to see along the way. Fairly easy to moderate trail."
"This trail is a very easy trail to hike for all levels of experience. I just went for the first time this winter and with what I could see of the hike there was something to see the entire walk. Once you get to where the stone work starts keep your eye out. There is amazing stone work speckled throughout the woods and the banks of the river. Being able to walk to each step and learn from the information they have there was really exciting. To think back in 1844 this was possible is just mind blowing. Even today very amazing skills."
