"I had an exceptional experience at Bay State. The staff are are amazing. If you come with some discomfort, they make sure, you work out pain free( I had that experience with Kara ). I had most of sessions done with Sabrina who is incredible. She wants to make sure , not only you understand the exercises but you do them the proper way and way the are good for. I feel really good now and Sabrina's motivation encourages me to keep doing the exercises home. Thank you so muchto Sabrina and Kara to every single one of the team who use to assist me too."

"Update: While my experience with BayState was not good, I have to say they have been very responsive to this post. I received a call from Jeremy (an owner I believe) apologizing for the issues related to my care at their facility and he assured me they have taken steps to ensure this would not be repeated. Additionally, he has been in touch with corporate and my refund is being processed today. Their timely response to this post is much appreciated. I’m giving them an extra star for this :-) This is long, but if you are considering Bay State for PT then please read!! Worst PT experience ever!!! Received PT after shoulder replacement surgery. Went to 6 appointments and saw 4 different therapist. Poor communication between therapists on what care was given. After one visit, the therapist left ZERO notes regarding my visit. Needless to say there was no consistency with each session. Can’t tell you how often I had to explain to a therapist why I was there and when my surgery was. After being man handled during my 6th visit, I moved on to a new PT provider and have been getting excellent care. Last appointment with Bay State was 7/5/23. Due to co-pays and normal delays in insurance processing claims, I am owed a refund of just over $100. Called the Belmont office in August and they confirmed all claims had been processed and confirmed refund owed. Belmont office would notify Corporate to issue a check. Fast forward to 10/12/2023 and hmmmm I don’t recall receiving a refund check. Called corporate today and big surprise, they have no record of Belmont office requesting the refund. I am now “on the list” for a refund. It takes 6 to 10 weeks for them to issue the refund check. Geez, they sure can process payments a lot faster than refunds. Stay clear of this place. Plenty of good providers in the area that will give you better care and manage the insurance and finance."

"I have been to Bay State Physical Therapy on Belmont Street for three series of PT over the past three years, most recently during the first half of 2023. I have always found the staff extremely competent as well as friendly and fun. And the bottom line is that my issue has always been much improved when I've been discharged. This time around I have been treated mostly by Kara, who is exceptionally experienced, knowledgeable, and effective. I can't imagine there being many PTs so qualified and competent. My last few visits, including my final evaluation today, have been with Sabrina, who recently graduated and received her license after working in the clinic as an assistant during her graduate studies. In that earlier role she ably and kindly helped guide my treatment when I was a patient of Kara. Now, I can highly recommend Sabrina in her new Physical Therapist role as well. I have always been confident that I was receiving sound advice and competent care, even from someone in the early stages of her career. I highly recommend this PT clinic."
