"We used to be regulars here since we own property on this lake, but don’t have sand for the kids, so we would go here often. They hire teenagers for staff. They like to blow their whistles & scream at kids for no reason at all. No rules, and safety hazards have to be broken for them to threaten to kick out CHILDREN from PLAYING at the beach. Blow their whistle, target a kid, and yell something like “knock it off you’re being annoying” instead of caring about any safety violations being broken. Best way to rune your day. Can’t forget about the time my daughter was 10 years old and was yelled at on the dock out on the water. The female lifeguard got splashed because she was jumping off & doing cannon balls, and the staff member screamed at her in front of everyone, and threatened to kick her off the dock & make the rest of the family leave the beach. Was also called fat by 2 MALE staff members. They even went as far to say “your bathing suit is too tight too, just wear clothes to go swimming here next time” not even under their breath. Some adult form of management is needed. This beach is absolutely repulsive, so not bring your kids here."
"NO PRICES POSTED - WANTED TO CHARGE $20 TO PARK. We went just looking for a nice body of water to read by. Girl at the gate asked to see our license which is odd, then proceeded to tell us it was $20 to park. We are from Capital Region so Town is either overcharging to be exclusionary or she was trying to rip us off. We refused to pay. Parking at State Beach is $10 less! Sad."
"This beach is OK. But the policy at this place used to be that children are not allowed to play with floatables in the water. Kind of annoying for people with toddlers. But who knows, maybe this policy has changed since my kids were little. My granddaughter much prefers to go to the town beach at Reichard's Lake."
"This park is great for families. There's a large pavilion, playground and beach. The portable restroom is one of the nicest ones I've seen. The beach has a lifeguard. Lots of shaded picnic tables by the parking area. There are hills so littles may need a bit of help."
"I love this beach it's quiet and Serene it has grass and it has shade. And send of course. If you ever complain about goose pop. That's mother nature woman if you don't like it when it's super. Do you actually feel these people have time to look around and clean up poop.. get over yourself and go somewhere else. You must be from the city where you want to change everything that is always been normal where we live."
