Quest Diagnostics

"Updated on Jan 30 2024: office manager replied to my email to say that they will repeat the training (easy way to respond and dismiss the abuse I received) till date the Quest headquarters did not respond to my mailed letter. Disappointing! Quest incident-verbally abused by your employee when I came to ask for results not showing on app! Nov 16 I had some lab test done (thyroid and lipid panel) . 10 days later I still don’t have my results nor on Quest app nor at my 1ry care. There is no way to leave a message when I called so I left a message on the Quest app that my labs are missing. On Nov 25, I drove half hour one way to come and ask about my test (took an apt at 10:10 am so that I ll be seen) . The phlebotomist George asked me to go to the cubicle . He says they were processed but can’t help more. No number to call (google it he says) . I asked to be helped by the responsible person on site today , George says sarcastically “the manager is home sleeping”. He was so loud and rude that his colleague says she ll help if I wait in the waiting area. While I was heading there, George the phlebotomist says loudly to me “ignorant” !!!??!. While I am no near ignorant (if only George knows I have 2 higher degrees after college and a doctorate in the medical related field) I find his attitude not professional, dismissive and disrespectful. I was humiliated and verbally abused at the Norwood location by George. I was using MGH labs before and only gave quest a try because of advertisements we constantly receive from Aetna. I expect a phone call from Quest to clarify how this incidence was dealt with. George attitude and demeanour are not worthy to be in health care. I serve patients every day and I expect a decent treatment from health care providers. On the other hand I d like to give kudos to his colleague Christine who stepped up to solve the matter (indeed she figured out that the 1ry care clinic fax number was mistyped hence no results were released)"

"They have no idea how to handle special needs kids. Made is wait 15 mins while they figured out the paperwork and entry in the system. When the time came to draw blood the guy kept pushing to rush when the kid was taking time (2 extra minutes). Please stop pretending to be nice and actually understand and help your clients."

"The worst facility I have ever had the displeasure of being seen at. Every appointment I have had at this location, I have been met with, at best, a bad attitude to start, and it changes once they find out my condition, or at worst, straight up ignorance and the inability to treat the patient with respect. Came in to drop off a sample with an appointment set for 3:40, I arrived at 3:35 and an employee locked the door in my face. But their website says they close at 4:00, and google says they close at 4:30. Another time, I came in to submit another sample and they admitted to shredding my paperwork, which stated that I needed two tests done, not one. The employees treat patients like they know nothing and have no patience to help them through medical issues. Quite seriously the worst experience I have ever had at a medical facility."

"This is the most unprofessional location of quest diagnostic i was in for an appoinntment and had to leave for the paper work the person i was with and the superviser were extremely un professional and the colored lady in room 4 looked at me like i had 7 heads when i had the samples and not the order. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable, i felt racist glances at me from her. In what seems to be a doctor office"

"Agree with the other poster. I don't think they understand what an appointment is supposed to be. If I make an appointment for 9:00 I expect to be seen then. Instead any walk ins just go ahead of me. When I came in there were 26 people ahead of me. I didn't get my draw until 10 AM. They close at 11 so I was glad I got in before they closed. Also, it was crazy slow between patients. My actual draw took 7 minutes, I timed it. But it took 15 minutes or longer between patients being called back. This is a location that has Saturday hours so that makes it busier but they need to schedule more help on Saturdays. Only 3 people were being helped at a time with 26 or more waiting."
