"H&E paint bar is one of the more fancy nail salons in Portland. The prices reflect the luxury experience and they do a fantastic job. I always opt for the dazzle dry polish as it lasts 3-4 weeks with no chipping, and doesn’t damage my nails."

"One of the best nail salons in Portland! I came in for a gel manicure and my mom got the signature pedicure. We both walked away loving our nails and overall experience there. Specifically, we were really impressed with the attention to detail and the time they took to address our individual needs. My technician spent a lot of time shaping my nails to the shape I wanted and offered to apply a third coat. My mom is an avid runner and really needed some extra TLC on her calluses/toe nails in general. There was some “chatter” which I see was complained about in previous reviews, but I took that as a good sign—their customers love talking with them and have built up a good relationship with the staff. Needless to say we will come back! Thanks H&E!"

"I have been going to H&E to get my nails done for a few years. I really like the ability to book an appointment on the Vagaro app with the nail artist of my choice. I was disappointed when I was assigned to someone else even though the person I booked with was there doing someone else’s nails. I book with her for a reason- mostly because she does not try to chit chat with me the entire time which I cannot stand. Not only do my nails look sub-par but I had an unexpected unenjoyable experience. If you’re super extroverted and love to talk about and hear random stories, maybe be sung to, or just like to hear lots of complaining going on, this is your place. Personally I will be taking my business to a quieter more professional salon. That said, most of the nail artists are very good at what they do."
